Easy installation, gives me that peace of mind that my newborn is sleeping safely without the threat of smoke or carbon monoxide. Love the light up feature when the lights are off. So u can see when it detects motion

This item already paid itself off. On a weekday morning, while busy getting ready to work, the stove was left on and breakfast started to burn. Busy morning, multi-tasking and still sleepy. Soon after smoke was detected and it went off like clock work and thanks to the Nest we got to air out the room quickly. The best features are; the high volume of the the detector and redundancy of sending a text to my phone.

Not ease to install but after that it works pretty well

The Nest Protect are nicely designed and easy to install. This is our second one and while expensive, it is worth it.

Very easy to install, connect to the wifi system. Gives you a great sense of security.

My husband installed two of these(so far), we have the wireless ones so they install just like your normal everyday smoke/carbon monoxide alarm. They were so easy to setup and link to your phone and just like the hard wired alarms they talk to each other, so if one detects something it will set the other ones off too. The warnings are loud and clear too with words

We love the Nest systems, we have the thermostat and now the C02 detector. The price point is good and the features available are nice. The added security it provides is well worth having it.

My Nest Alarm along with my Nest thermostat are wonderful additions to my home. I now leave home confident that any incident will swiftly be reported to me no matter where I might be.

This idea of these are great. However we had a false alam at 3 am and couldn't silence it. Had to get a ladder to get it down and a screwdriver to get the batteries out to get it to stop alarming. We have 7 interconnected normal cheap smoke alarms and they didn't alarm, nor have they in 7 years we've lived there... But this $99 nest did. Woke up the kids and freaked them out. I was away and got an alert on my phone "EMERGENCY-EXIT THE HOUSE" "SMOKE IN MASTER BEDROOM". So after calling my wife i found it to be false as there was no smoke or fire and the other non-nest alarms didn't alarm. Apparently false alarms aren't unusual and they recommend blowing it out with compressed air to remove dust that might be on the sensor.?!?!!? Well I did that so we will see what happens. For as much as I loved it when I got it two months ago I've kind of lost confidence in it and sometimes find myself looking at it at night just waiting for it to alarm for no reason. I would try the 2nd generation which was just released, maybe they've worked out some of the problems.

There I nothing better than the Nest products. I've been using the Nest thermostat for months and I've never been so pleased. Easy functionality and you receive fantastic data - which is actually useful!! I'm getting two of the Nest Protects for our newly built home and can't wait to install them.

I was so impressed when I bought the first one of these and how it would also tie in with my nest thermostat that I bought two more.

We bought this when are previous carbon monoxide detector died and this one is so much better. It's a lot easier to listen to than the high pitched beeping of the previous one.

Excellent item. Nest has done a great job in bringing modern technology to a device that had seen few changes in decades. Costs a little more, but you get so many more features!

Every home should have one or more of these. Many lives are lost by fire and/or carbon monoxide poisoning. The ability to monitor the home from away is a huge breakthrough.

This is my 2nd Nest product, No wonder google paid billions for nest, they make excellent products. Easy to use, connects to the internet. I highly recommend.

I feel a lot better leaving my dogs at home knowing that this will notify me first before going off and scaring the dogs. And the Co2 alarm is a life saver!

Works great when you have more than one connected to each other and with the thermostat. The app for the phone lets you know every thing is working also.
