Had it for nearly a week, looks good and self test function works. Wish it would show temperature on the app. Voice notification is extremely clear.

Easy to install with simple instructions. The app download is awesome as well. I will be purchasing a second detector soon. Highly recommend

I like that the Nest smoke detector shows me it is working by the green light. My wife also likes the path light. Seems like a great product.

This is a GREAT product...love it...have them all throughout my home. The only knock on it...if you change your SSID name, you're going to have to reset them and rejoin them to the new SSID...should be much easier! It does seem that way with all "Internet of Things" devices, though...

It's a lovely object, so far as these things go, and its expressive center lighting and voice directions offer a lot more than the standard series of beeps: alerting you to emergencies, low batteries and even lighting your way at night. The button-based hush can save your eardrums and the smartphone alerts may well save some lives.

The Nest Protect (wireless version) provides a peace of mind in smoke and carbon dioxide protection. My HVAC furnace is upstairs wing of the house and the Nest was installed in a hallway adjacent to the furnace. It will trigger an alarm and send signal to my primary Nest (wired version) located in the master bedroom. Hopefully this will never occur but one never knows. Both wired and wireless versions are aesthetically pleasing to the eye in comparison to the "other brands". Setup, install and testing of units could not be any easier. Extremely satisfied with purchase and would recommend to anyone in the market to replace existing detectors.

This was easy set up and get connected. Now, I get updates with the Nest Monthly reports. Note: Battery life is 5 years.

Works as described. App is user friendly and well designed. Wish the motion sensor for the nightlight feature was stronger. Doesn't always work when I walk by and only works at all when it's pitch black in the house.

Best smoke alarm I have ever had. I can check on the home from anywhere. I also love the night light function, makes getting to the kids room without stepping on toys a reality. Highly recommend.

Our community suffered a leak from some construction next door in which we were not aware of, although the voice freaked me out at 2:00am it diligently worked and saved the situation. Thank you nest and BEST BUY.
