when your network goes down, it it a logic puzzle to figure out what is going wrong. I have since learned that if you have a 15 port switch and use all the ports you are over working it. switched to this 24 port switch and the network was up and running

I use about 20 networked devices ranging from Sonos music zones to full gigabit Macs. I like the auto sensing feature for products that don't go over 10mb all the way to my NAS devices at full duplex 1gb. It mounted against my wall with ease and is situated so I can easily plug in cable from the top with force if needed. Great 24 port switch for the price and performance.

Replaced a smaller 8 Gigabit switch, due to increased desire to hardwire a few network devices

Our house is wired with cat 5 and we needed a common switch to connect those ports to our google wifi system. No setup required, plugged it into the google puck and our cables into it and it worked immediately. Very simple for someone with limited network experience.

The switch works well. it allows for connecting up 24 ports to the network and the gigabit speeds are nice. Netgear has a lifetime warranty on this and because it's a business class switch, they offer next day replacement if there is an issue. Hard to beat that.

This unit is small and powerful. Price is reasonable.

Purchased this NETGEAR 24-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (JGS524) and has worked without any issues.

Installation was merely unplugging the network cables from my old router and plugging in the cables to the new router. Maybe two minutes max and much faster than my old 10/100 router. I'd buy it again (but hopefully won't need to anytime soon.)

My home has 15 ports and I started shopping for an unmanaged switch that will allow me to use wired internet in all locations. This switch just started working as soon as I plugged in all network cables (egress) and 1 ingress network port.
