Setting this up was simple. The switch integrated into my network instantly. Has been working smoothly at full speed, without a hitch! Great product.

Fair price with 8 ports. No complicated set up and worked right out of the box. Small footprint was needed and this fits the need.

I got this switch for my room to provide connectivity to my gaming consoles pc and entertainment system. It works like a charm it looks elegant and plug and play perfection. It doesnt have a fan so it doesnt make any noise. My only concern is that it doesnt have a rubber part on the bottom where it stands and when I have it populated for 8 ports I find it a little hard to position exactly where I want it since it doesnt grip well on my table. Other than that everything is great!

We have been NetGear fans for years and bought this switch for my son's room after he out grew the 4 port one he was using. He builds out computers plus has multiple devices connected for gaming, product research and more. It's nice to have a switch like this that is very fast performance wise (extending our LAN up to him at 1 GB) and also quick to install/easy to use - plus we know it will still be working without issues as long as we need it to.

Was easy to install. Works like a charm. Have multiple types of devices hooked to my router through this switch and each works fine. Used this switch to get my gaming console hard wired to my router and the speed benefit over WiFi is tremendous - it means almost negligible bandwidth loss through this switch - not that I conducted any speed tests. Would recommend to anyone consider a 8-port switch...

Nice compact switch that does its job and with great speeds for a good price.

I had a home network that was in need of upgrading. I wanted full gigabit speeds on all devices and after years of thinking about it this was my solution. I bought two of the 8 port and one 5 port switch (for the repair bench) For the low cost of these switches the performance increase is amazing. They are not managed switches and that's OK. I am very pleased with these devices.

I am using several of these to expand my hardwired gigabit network over CAT5e cable. My Cable modem provides gigabit speed to the hardwired network, so by adding these, you can add more devices. This is an unmanaged switch that performs well with heavy network traffic from several computers and devices simultaneously. Very happy with every Netgear product I own!

This switch fit my needs perfectly. I am able to hook all of my consoles and PC, as well as tv, up to the internet via LAN cable which makes my life easy. I am currently putting a game room together and this equipment makes it much easier. No to mention the price was great, especially for the value.

I purchased this switch to replace a 5 port ethernet model. It just plugged right in and worked without fuss. Price is reasonably competitive. It is light in weight, so I used velcro to attach it where I wanted it to stay or it will be pulled around by cord tension. This model uses a wall wart transformer for power.

I finished rewiring my house; cable, ethernet, the whole nine yards. I have a wireless router but I wanted to make the data outlets active through my patch panel. This switch works the moment you connect it. It also lets you know which ports are working and which ones are not. For its price it is a great investment.

Great choice for a 8 port compact design. Provides solid performance and the numerous ports allow for equipment expansion. No brained install. Inexpensive.

This network product was my first choice after some on web research. I have other Netgear products and this one works as well and sets up as easy as the other ones I own. It is fast and has not failed in the time I have used it. It is my home network and works well.
