I needed this switch for a customer location to replace a failed switch. They new Netgear switch that I picked up at Best Buy, acted intelligently and automatically accepted the incoming IP and automatically organized the outgoing IP with no problem. I highly recommend this switch. It's way better than the cheaper Trendnet routers.

This switch was very easy to set up. The speed is not slow. I have 8 computers plugged in and there is no loss in speed.

We needed to update some of our office equipment and one of the items we needed was a new ethernet router/switch box. This one is a lot smaller and takes up about half the room the other one did. I bought this SOHO switch to upgrade from my previous five port switch. Very simple install out. Performs well. No issues with the new switch. Note that this switch is made of lightweight plastic and as such could feel cheap. In my case, it's mounted against the wall in a cabinet, so it really doesn't matter. If you like a heavier feel, Netgear's ProSAFE unmanaged switches are metal. Additionally, this SOHO switch has ports in the back while the ProSAFE swtich has ports in the front.
