Waiting for Netgear to ship me my 3rd Replacement

Less than 90 days into my warranty and I am now awaiting a 3rd replacement from Netgear. It should be here in 4 days. What a waste of my time and money!
I bought the 1st AC1200 from Best Buy and registered with Netgear in August. No extended plan from BB was purchased. Easy to setup and worked fine for almost 30 days. For no apparent reason my performance started getting really bad.
Speedtest.net normally reports 65M Down and 6M Up. but I was getting 0.18Mbits up. So I spent a horriffic amount of time on the phone with Netgear just to make sure it wasnt me.
Netgear support was terrible. I would wait on hold for 10 minutes and when the rep in India finally got on the line, I would get disconnected. This happened 4 times in a row. I spent over 2+ hours resetting the factory defaults, re-flashing different firmware version from current to older and back to current. All the time proving that everything worked fine when we took the router out of the equation. They finally admitted the device was defective and to take it back.
Thankfully Best Buy was kind enough to replace the unit past the normal 15 days from purchase even after I already threw away the box.
6 weeks later and now the replacement device is giving me the exact same issues. Poor performance and confirmed via speedtest.net where a direct connection to my cable modem give me the 50M down and 6M up I pay for. I just spent another 2 hours and 20 minutes on the phone doing the exact same steps as above. Netgear wanted to charge me an upsell of $20 to get a replacement of the next model up or get the same R6220 model for no charge in 4 days.
No longer a fan of Netgear!

This router is expensive and I expected it to give full house coverage for the price. We have a large house. I am disappointed in it to be honest. I would suggest sticking with a basic router. I received the same coverage for less money.

My previous unit was much easier to set up and the tech suport staff were much easier to understand and more helpful. The range of my "outdated" product is better and the speed is about the same even though my cable speed has been upgraded.

This router seems to work well but there were some challenges with getting my computer to connect with the router. It seems like it should have been easier for my computer to locate and connect with the router.

Disappointed with the speed since we stream TVs. It might be better without streaming. We had a Netgear for half the cost and it seemed to perform better than this model. Might be replacing it.

Very solid for less than 20ft..beyond 30ft with 2walls, it gives less than 10Mbps..had to return since it is suitable only for small square footage (less than advertised)

If you are trying to set up a smart home .... steer clear of this one . Very limited range and signal would cause my smart devices issues receiving commands .

Just bought this as a place holder since our Router broke. The associate talked to us about this being "cheap" which I appreciated. Overall got the job done but not great outside of just surfing online.

1. Worked for one day.
2. Had to shut it down to move it and when it came back up it would no longer allow connectivity out to the Internet through the modem even though:
a. It had the ISP assigned address via the modem.
b. It showed Internet connection GOOD.
c. DHCP was configured correctly.
d. It had been factory reset to start the initializing and setup
process over again. (Done several times with zero success)
c. Windows computer connected directly to the Cable modem
was successful all the time. (It WAS NOT a problem with the
Modem or the account connection)
Reason for no connectivity:
a. Router would not lease LAN IP addresses.
b. Could not release and/or renew an IP on an Ethernet or WiFi
connected device, for all of the following platforms: Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.
Looking over forums from Netgear the only thing I could find were posts where the Netgear Support Reps were rude, condescending, and blamed it on everything else except their own equipment.
As a seasoned Systems Architect needing this for Work from Home circumstances, I spent about 10 hours looking in every nook and cranny to find support and clues as to why when everything looked right, even with a factory reset, the router would not function properly after a proper shutdown had occurred. I guess I just got the lemon. Needless to say, my level of trust in this particular model declined drastically. I would not buy it again.
I returned this one and purchased a slightly higher rated Netgear device. Which is doing well so far.

I got this router less than a week ago and it does the job it’s supposed to. Only problem is that the power button is stuck to the “on” setting but other than that it works perfectly.

Router to extend home WiFi range and signal strength but found that it was not very effective. It did not improve the range or signal strength over the ATT router.

We bought this as an upgrade to our router from about 5 years ago. It's really not any faster. It does ok overall but seems overpriced when you can get the same quality and speed for half the price.

I bought two of these AC1200 to use as a router and additional access point. It took far too much effort to configure both devices on the same network. However, once it was ready, it has been very solid.

Returned. When I called my provider for hook up I discovered it duplicated what my provider had. I thought I had to replace the precious one and discovered they were working against each other.
