This extender is awesome. Paired it with a Linksis AC1200+dual band 2.4, 5GHZ router. Followed instructions and it came up immediately. Is being used in a 4 bedroom dorm. The Linksis is in a back bedroom and had a very weak signal in the living room (about 50ft away and through several walls). Put the extender in the living room and now have max signal for both 2.4 and 5G. This was especially surprising since everyone in the building has a router. Lastly, the instructions said you have to synch the extender for 2.4 then repeat the procedure for 5GHZ. It appears that you don't have to do it 2X as the device was smart enough to know there were 2 bands and synched them both. I would highly recommend this extender. PS, I Tried a linksys extender first, to keep everything the same but it did not extend the signal and didn't work. This extender worked perfectly. I would recommend.

I purchased this Netgear extender to ensure I had a strong Wi-Fi signal throughout my double story split level home. Every room in the house now has a full bars without dropping the signal. Since I have a Netgear router the WPS setup was effortless.

It's a little time consuming when you don't know how to connect it to an existing wifi router but I think I figured it out. It works great

Good performance so far. I purchased other vendor device prior to Netgear product which did not provide stable signal, and stopped working within 3 days. This product works much better.

My wife works from home, and the location of our a router is less than ideal. Her office is upstairs and the router is downstairs behind the couch because that’s where the port for the Internet is located. My wife could whole video calls very well because of the poor reception in her office. This little guy did the trick. We plugged it in in the stairwell, Kind of a halfway point between the router in our office. And it boost the signal enough that she could hold video conferences, but I think ultimately we will rely on a mesh system from now on. But this was a good temporary solution. The set up was easy and quick.

Great device and really works good. I had issues and it took over 45 minutes to sync with my router but that may be an issue with the router (from Verizon). I then moved it to a position and am using it as an access point. Please note there are NO instructions for setting up an access point. I found I had to sync it wirelessly with the router first and when I moved it then switched the switch to access point and plugged in the network cable, and plugged it into the wall. The App didn’t work by the way.

I had a dead spot in my living room where my TV would not stream. I bought this extender and now have no problems streaming. Set up and placement was very easy.

This wireless extender is easy to setup and works as expected. Mine is located toward the end of the house and works perfectly while watching Netflix, Hulu etc.

The product adds signal strength for those devices that are farther away from your router but still within range. I evaluated this unit on my laptop on the other side of my house opposite the router. In other words, my router is on one side of the house and my laptop was on the other side of my house during this test. I did not detect any signal degradation and would recommend this product to others looking to extend their router's signal strength at a reasonable price.

The Netgear ac-1200 model 6150 solved a problem dead zone in the front upstairs bedroom of a 4k square foot home. The 3rd radio band was a significant feature of the ac-1200. I initially bought the Netgear ac-1200 model 6120 from Amazon. I was getting an intermittent single bar of wi-fi coverage with my exiting router. The model 6120 gave me no additional wi-fi coverage. I had the same intermittent single bar with the 6120. I sent it back and got the model 6150 from BB. The extended network with the 6150 had 4 bars of coverage and saved me the expense of buying a mesh system.

I used this to reach my game room in the basement. It definitely increased the speed but still difficult with online gaming. I found it simple to set up and connect.

With all this Distance Learning and 7 people on the internet at one time, we quickly found that we needed something to support spotty internet in parts of our house that were hit or miss. We bought this and it quickly helped all of our high needs areas. It is quick and easy to set up. The only reason I didn’t give it all 5 stars is because if we have more than 4 devices getting WiFi from it, it started having issues.

This Netgear WiFi range extender was a snap to setup. Has excellent range on its own and a very low profile as it plugs directly into an outlet. I’ve used different versions of this extended in the past and this is, by far, the best version Netgear has produced.

This was very easy to install and get operating. Plugs into any household outlet to extend your wifi range. If you follow the easy instructions you should have no problems.

My router is stuck in a room with very thick walls. The Ac1200 Wifi extender was easy to setup and now I have full signal in my whole house. The signal is strong enough that I don't have to switch networks when I move throughout the house. I don't know why I waited so long to get an extender. Highly recommend.

We were having trouble getting wifi in all areas of our house and wanted a simple solution. This took 10 minutes to setup and didn't require a computer to do so. We now have 3 "networks" to choose from in our house and the extender is often much stronger than our actual router. Works fantastic!

I am a network manager and have used and configured a lot of equipment in my lifetime. This thing is made to be idiot proof by attempting to to a lot of things for you to help with the setup. For a power user that has an uncommon network setup at home this made the configuration more of a challenge. Beware if you have any outside the box home network. The unit preforms well and does what it is advertised to do. I would recommend it if you need a boost in your WiFi coverage. I chose it because of the Ethernet port and the ability to us in AP mode which is fantastic if you have an Ethernet connection in a dead spot within your house.

I really like this Wi-Fi extender as I do all net gear products this one is so easy to use I just plugged it in it the WPS security button and it linked up to my Netgear nighthawk router without issue it extends the Wi-Fi throughout my entire home even though it's low to the ground plugged into an outlet.

i purchased two of these because both of our 65' samsung smart tvs lost the ability to pick up a wifi signal. these capture the signal and then i have them hardwired into the tvs. problem solved and we also have the added benefit of extended wifi throughout the house. super easy setup.
