My wife works from home, and the location of our a router is less than ideal. Her office is upstairs and the router is downstairs behind the couch because that’s where the port for the Internet is located. My wife could whole video calls very well because of the poor reception in her office. This little guy did the trick. We plugged it in in the stairwell, Kind of a halfway point between the router in our office. And it boost the signal enough that she could hold video conferences, but I think ultimately we will rely on a mesh system from now on. But this was a good temporary solution. The set up was easy and quick.

I had an older xx300 extender but was not getting the benefits of the 5G throughout my house. The setup on this unit was very easy (I used the external setup to give the main and extended points the same SSID). As my PC did not have 5G capability I used the Ethernet port on the extender and my computer now blazes.

I purchased this Netgear extender to ensure I had a strong Wi-Fi
signal throughout my double story split level home. Every room in the house now has a full bars without dropping the signal. Since I have a Netgear router the WPS setup was effortless.

Used to install POE Video Camera

I bought a 4K video camera for it's resolution that was only offered as a POE device and I didn't have a cat 6 cable to the location I was installing my camera. Because running a cable was more expensive than the AC1200 I went ahead and purchased the AC1200 to connect the camera via WIFI. Easy setup and worked great. My only disappointment was the IP RJ45 jack on the Netgear AC1200 does not supply POE as described on the Best Buy web site technical description so I had to use an external power supply to power the camera. Works great and was easy to install with all the bandwidth throughput needed to view and record the camera. I would recommend the Netgear AC1200 for anyone needing to extend their WIFI.

Great device and really works good. I had issues and it took over 45 minutes to sync with my router but that may be an issue with the router (from Verizon). I then moved it to a position and am using it as an access point. Please note there are NO instructions for setting up an access point. I found I had to sync it wirelessly with the router first and when I moved it then switched the switch to access point and plugged in the network cable, and plugged it into the wall. The App didn’t work by the way.

It's a little time consuming when you don't know how to connect it to an existing wifi router but I think I figured it out. It works great

Needed to extended Internet to my barn 50’ from my house. There’s a few walls to pass through as well. This got the job done. Wasn’t too difficult to set up and get going.

My wireless router is on one end of the house and the entertainment is on another. This seems to have improved the coverage so that watching VuDu movies does not seem to buffer as much on the WiFi DVD player and when I screen mirror from my tablets. Super duper easy setup. Just find the right location and you should be good to go.

With all this Distance Learning and 7 people on the internet at one time, we quickly found that we needed something to support spotty internet in parts of our house that were hit or miss. We bought this and it quickly helped all of our high needs areas. It is quick and easy to set up. The only reason I didn’t give it all 5 stars is because if we have more than 4 devices getting WiFi from it, it started having issues.

This Netgear WiFi range extender was a snap to setup. Has excellent range on its own and a very low profile as it plugs directly into an outlet. I’ve used different versions of this extended in the past and this is, by far, the best version Netgear has produced.

This extender is awesome. Paired it with a Linksis AC1200+dual band 2.4, 5GHZ router. Followed instructions and it came up immediately. Is being used in a 4 bedroom dorm. The Linksis is in a back bedroom and had a very weak signal in the living room (about 50ft away and through several walls). Put the extender in the living room and now have max signal for both 2.4 and 5G. This was especially surprising since everyone in the building has a router. Lastly, the instructions said you have to synch the extender for 2.4 then repeat the procedure for 5GHZ. It appears that you don't have to do it 2X as the device was smart enough to know there were 2 bands and synched them both. I would highly recommend this extender. PS, I Tried a linksys extender first, to keep everything the same but it did not extend the signal and didn't work. This extender worked perfectly. I would recommend.

The Netgear ac-1200 model 6150 solved a problem dead zone in the front upstairs bedroom of a 4k square foot home. The 3rd radio band was a significant feature of the ac-1200. I initially bought the Netgear ac-1200 model 6120 from Amazon. I was getting an intermittent single bar of wi-fi coverage with my exiting router. The model 6120 gave me no additional wi-fi coverage. I had the same intermittent single bar with the 6120. I sent it back and got the model 6150 from BB. The extended network with the 6150 had 4 bars of coverage and saved me the expense of buying a mesh system.

Good performance so far. I purchased other vendor device prior to Netgear product which did not provide stable signal, and stopped working within 3 days. This product works much better.

This extender works great. It really gave me a strong signal from the rear bedroom to the front of the house and outside porch and patio where I used to encounter buffering when watching a video. The only problem that I had when attempting to install the program from my cellphone was that the installation kept disconnecting my cellphone from wifi, preventing the completion of the installation. I was able to install the program using an ethernet cable and my pc. The process was actually easier that way because it allowed me to keep my original SSID without using an extension.

We were having trouble getting wifi in all areas of our house and wanted a simple solution. This took 10 minutes to setup and didn't require a computer to do so. We now have 3 "networks" to choose from in our house and the extender is often much stronger than our actual router. Works fantastic!
