The instructions are a bit vague but you can totally see an improvement of range and signal strength, no question about that. Sure I may glow in the dark from all the radio waves, but hey, that's fine, my wireless devices work now so that's all that matters.

I have been very impressed with the Netgear AC750 range extender. I was initially concerned that this unit is designed to plug straight into a wall outlet, limiting surge protection options, but in the end it was a non-issue. I did add small Velcro strips at the top and bottom of my Decora wall plate to really secure the unit. You may have to experiment to find an outlet in just the right location, and it basically covers and blocks the whole double outlet. On the positive side, although this is truly a very capable and powerful dual band extender, it also offers a FastLane mode that allows me to offer 2.4Ghz WiFi to all my devices & guests but pipeline it back through a high bandwidth 5Ghz dedicated wireless connection to my wireless router. This not only supports both my newer and older devices (those that are not 5Ghz capable) but affords much higher bandwidth than a typical 2.4Ghz access point or single band extender offers. The signal strength from this unit is excellent, and by carefully placing the extender I doubled the reach of my WiFi. Although I did not use the feature, the AC750 also has a wired Ethernet port allowing you to connect it hardwired to your router & use it as a dual-band access point instead of an extender; a simple switch toggles between access point or extender modes. The wired port cannot be used to connect an Ethernet device when in extender mode, however. The built-in Genie management software is great; Smart Setup is easy to use and affords quick & easy configuration, but there are sufficient advanced options to really tweak settings and tailor operation to your needs. I love being able to bring up the software simply by typing mywifiext.net into the browser of a connected device to access the Genie software. A status screen shows signal strength and was invaluable as I moved the unit to different locations to get the best possible signal link to the main router, but "idiot light" LEDs are also provided on the front of the extender to give you a visual indication of which direction to move the extender for best signal strength. Thanks to this extender I now have high bandwidth WiFi throughout my house. Despite the limitation that this device plugs directly into and pretty much blocks a duplex AC outlet, I would buy another of these without hesitation!

I bought this product to extend the wifi coverage on the second story of my house. After having it going for a couple weeks now speed tests confirm that I average at least double the speeds of white I was getting without it. Set up was very easy. You actually create a new wifi access point for devices to attach to.

I bought this extender to reach my 3rd floor from my Verizon router this is a heads up for Verizon quantum customers Verizon must come to your home and set up acceptance of your quantum router for any extender to be seen something they don't tell you when you buy it for 2.5 to 5 ghz transmission dual mode good luck

This Netgear device has made the second floor of my home wifi functional. It was easy to set-up and interconnect with existing equipment. The only hiccup is the fact that you have to choose its signal instead of it expanding the existing signal. Overall, it delivers the signal that is necessary to stream most anything.

This extender was easy to set up. We now have the capabilities of wifi throughout the house and yard. The price was very reasonable as well.

I bought the extender to use in my basement to get a better connection for my gaming console. The connection only slightly improved on the video game system, however it made a noticeable difference in my Laptop connection speed. Easy to set-up and does a pretty decent job of extending your current Wi-Fi network.

My bedrooms weren't getting any type of wifi signal until this. Especially at night everything would be buffering and loading times were outrageous. Now everything's connected smoothly. This extended is really great and I had my brother buy one and his wife connected it. It was that easy you can do it either on your smartphone or laptop. Love it

Bought this to extend wifi from router at far end of a larger house (3500ish sq. ft) to the extreme other end of the house, through lots of walls and even a brick fireplace mid-house. Placed the extender about in the center of the house, up high on some shelves (hidden, plus being higher helps the signal spread), and it pushes signal great to the other end of the house now. Master bedroom tv can now stream Netflix and whatever else perfectly fine on the opposite end of the house now, which couldn't happen before.

I resisted getting a range extender for awhile because I wasn't sure how much help they really were, but this range extender does a pretty good job of addressing the streaming issues we had wth netflix etc. the way our house is laid out still offers challenges but at the price I consider it a good deal.

I have Spectrum's 300 Mpbs service, but even with that, I was having problems getting decent reception in some areas of my house. So I bought 3 of these extenders and located them at strategic points throughout my large 2-story house. Previous to their installation, there were numerous weak or dead spots in several areas. Not any more! Every room in my house has very strong high speed reception now, and no more complaints from family or friends on my network!! Thanks Netgear!!!

set up was easy and gave me options for both 2.4 and 5Gh it also has a wired hookup if you need to hook in directly for your best wifi

I have a lack WiFi signal in my home, so i end up getting the Best WiFi Extender recommended by the Sales Associate at Best Buy, and works great!! but the setup was kind of confusing and until now I end up with the impression that i did not get the full power speed set up correctly. Hope you have a better luck.

This solved my connectivity issues in our 3600ft home. It was easy to install and up and running in 10 minutes. Recommend product!

Installation took all of about 5 minutes or less. Extends range which seems to be far as the N900 wireless router location to the extender.

Wow cant believe how much better this is than my other plug in netgear extender, fast doesnt lose , easy to set up!
