A system like this has very limited capabilities, if your internet isnt going to be perfect and fast all the time don't trust this product to keep your family safe. Also, it only records for a max of 2 minutes, plus the motion sensor is slow, you can walk past the camera and be out of frame before it records ANYTHING. Someone can break in and as long as they walk fast they'll get away with it. This is an advanced baby monitor, or a decent way to keep an eye on your pets, not a very effective means of home security. Would not recommend to anyone ever.

This is a good unit for monitoring you home. I have this at two homes.

I am using the Arlo to watch a nesting duck in my backyard. It is very handy and picks up movement very well. I arm it when I want text messages sent to me notifying my of movement but I can disarm it to not notify me if I get too many annoying texts. It has to be armed to automatically record for 10 seconds at a time. I can manually record by clicking on Camera-viewing and clicking on record. Using the night vision mode ran the batteries down in 2 days so we turned off night vision mode to reserve battery life and they have lasted 3 weeks now with a full charge.

I bought these a while ago and researched what kind of rechargeable batteries to use. It was a little pricey to get the batteries and the Arlo, but it has been worth it. Now, I only had the one time battery cost. I also read a lot about battery consumption and the units not lasting long. In my case, I thought out where I wanted them. That way I didn't have them going off all the time. Just the occasional bird sets them off. But if someone were to jump my fence they would work too.

It does not alway record and has about a 30 second recording delay. The sensitivity is tough to get right. No audio on it although it says it does. May return both cameras and go with another brand.

The picture is a amazing! So clear, even at night. The system was extremely easy to set up. I'm very happy with it.

This was a great investment. Easy to use and set up. Dummy proof. Clear video and very good notification system.

It’s a good camera. My sister has these. I bought them but had to return them as you need local cable to get them to work. I have a portable WiFi with Verizon and couldn’t get them to work.

This is a great product and simple to use. The hardest part of setting the cameras was opening and putting the batteries in. They are magnetic to help hold the batteries in. Grip tightly and put batteries in correctly the first time.

I purchased these cameras after 6 months of searching for the perfect fit for my business. From the time I opened the box until they were up and running it was the simplest process I've ever done. Camera quality is amazing and I love that I can check in on my business 24/7

Good for home use, easy install and setup. Batteries run down a little bit fast but aside from that happy with it.

We love are Arlo cameras! Easy app to use and great camera resolution! The only complaint I have is our outdoor camera chews through batteries fast and they are somewhat expensive batteries so looking into rechargeable ones.

The camera is motion activated and we like to app notifications. However, there have been a few times that it has not picked up motion and not recorded or sent an alert. The problem may be our wi-fi -- not sure and need to check that out.

Software is a little confusing, but camera works well. Night time could be better
