Easy to set up and use. You don't have to pay monthly to use the basic cloud service. Can be used inside and outside. Buy some 123 camera batteries though.

Product reviews and YouTube videos helped me to choose Arlo over the competition. I wanted security cameras that were easy to mount, had motion detection, could use inside or out, could store videos, didn't require a power outlet and had wireless connectivity. This met my list. I bought the 4 camera pack and placed them strategically throughout. It was an easy setup. I now get message alerts on my phone when Arlo detects motion and begins to record. I can replay the captured video or watch live on my phone or laptop. I like the scheduling feature so I can set standard times to go on and off or change as needed. I have had no problems with the batteries after two months.

It's time for EVERYONE to have secerity cameras. This very inexpensive for what you get camera system is the best I have used. They are completely wireless, the battery life is impressive. My family uses them on 3 property locations and they are stellar. I love the geo-fencing mode (still in beta), the app is great but could use some cleaning up. The negitives - the motion detection sometimes dosnt pick up movement as nimble as I wish it would - if your in and out of your home a lot you will recive a lot of notifications on the app - the batteries are difficult to find and if you have multiple cameras replacing them will be somewhat pricy - if your looking for a camera to have a constant feed on a monitor this camera isn't for you, you will want the arlo q wired camera.

Researched a ton of camera systems before ending up with Arlo. Super easy to install (no wires!!) super clear video and images! You can play live or save videos up to a week w/o a membership. Alerts me to even a bird passing by! I can zoom in, the night vision is clear as day! The mounts sold separately help to get the best angles I recommend investing in them. My only complain is without the mount someone can steal the camera, it's only held by magnet so it needs to be high enough also batteries need to be replaced often and they're pricey!

I purchased these cameras for the outside of my home. They work perfectly and have clear picture quality & zoom option. I love how I can set the sensitivity level on the cameras so that they can go off and notify me whenever any movement is detected around my home. I also love the fact that they have night vision. Great cameras for the price! Would also recommend getting rechargeable batteries for them to help save a little money due to the batteries running low if you have you cameras sensitivity level on high. Other than that a must buy.

The camera has a great picture quality but if it's get motion often the batteries die quick and are expensive to replace. I placed one outside my garage and the batteries died in less than week! Which makes it pointless for me and returned it

Pros: easy installation and setup easy to program good mobile app good quality and clarity Cons: Only captures motion and sound no more than 10 feet away Eats batteries like crazy - get recharging batteries and alot of them - each camera takes 4. Connectivity issues when batteries are low and/or too far away from the base station Would not recommend for home security - would recommend for a nanny cam.

This camera works great at close range. Totally wireless. I can see the whole yard if I am watching in the program. It makes its own schedule so I have to keep turning it back on otherwise works great. I wish I could afford more than one.

Overall pretty happy with the camera. Software is good but could be better. Can't start and stop record time based off motion, it's a set interval. Also, if you have the camera super high (11 feet) the motion detector it doesn't pick up things as well (even with the sensitivity high). Arlo recommends 7ft, so it's probably best to put it at that height.

The big thing with the Arlo cams, is the balancing act of when to record, how long, and how often you want to purchase new batteries. I ended up returning these, they are just not quite there yet. One of my big complaints, is that they would key off a motion alert, record the default 10 seconds of video, but would not immediately key off motion to record again. It seemed there was some kind of delay needed, maybe to transfer the previously recorded data? I stood in front of a couple of the cams waiving, it would start recording as expected, but after it stopped, it took seconds to start recording again. I would often find it would record people walking away from the door, but not up to it. Motion detection was inconsistent. A person walking by one time would set it off, but the same action another time, would possibly not set it off. Did a lot of tweaking of sensitivity and the length of time to record. That essentially ate up the batteries which was the final straw and they were returned. I paid basically $900 for 5 Outdoor cams, 1 indoor. Not going to pay $20 in batteries and $10 in fee's every month as well. I put up IP Cameras that are PoE and use a old desktop to record 24/7 with Blue Iris. Much better and ended up being less money for the solution.

I bought the camera for my retired mother, just so she has an ideas who is at her door these days. I also wanted to give hem a try since I purchased a home and had it rebuilt; didn't want to install wiring for just cameras. I will be buying a set of 4 for my home after seeing such great quality in a camera. The picture and ease of setup is fantastic.

These are not bad cams - they're not full HD, and there's no audio. The setup is pretty painless, but the range isn't the greatest. Also, the battery life will vary greatly depending on the temperature you have. Colder climate is going to pull them down faster. You can only have 5 cams on a single account for the "free" monitoring; anything more, you either have to have a 2nd account or pay a subscription fee. At the price point these cameras are at, you can do better. Both these and the Arlo PRO series cams are pretty overpriced for what you get, especially with the new options such as Amazon, Ring, and the like. The main thing these have going for them is that they're easy to set up and no wires. If you have a smaller house/apartment, these are probably awesome. My house is 3000 square feet and I have weak signal on the cameras on the back of the house, so not so great for me.

I installed a set of 4 cameras about a month ago and have been very pleased with the product. Installation was fairly simple. The most difficult part was mounting the devices on the wall. Once that was done getting them sync'd up was very quick. I did have a little trouble with my camera in the patio, that is the farthest from the base unit. However, once I changed to orientation of the unit it connected with out issue. The camera have been very reliable and I get alerts whenever anyone approaches my doors. Occasionally they get set off by birds that fly into the zone. I am considering adding an additional camera in my garage. Great product!

Truly No-Wire Camera Product that works

Pros: 1. Installed 5 cameras (in less than 1.5 hours) around the house pointing at the front door, garage door, two side yards and back yard. 2. 45 days after installation all cameras show 90%+ battery level. 3. Recording schedules with motion sensing are very easy to set up. 4. Video quality is almost too good (from power conservation's point of view). Video frame rate averaged 15fps which is good enough for security monitoring purpose. 5. Server connection is reliable. I've had server-connect problem only once in more than 60 accesses. 6. Wifi connection to the base station is good within a range of 100ft, even with 2 to 3 walls blocking the line of sight. Cons: 1. Motion-based recording was often triggered by spiders crawling on the camera lens due to the fact that they probably "see" and "are attracted by" the night-vision infra-red lights. But that's a very tough technical problem to tackle. 2. No audio.
