This is the one
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not a techy. I wanted a modem that would satisfy download and upload speeds for the foreseeable future. I wanted a modem that was already well received from other purchasers. I wanted a fair price and I wanted a modem which had a straightforward setup. The Netgear CM1000 delivers. I am more than satisfied and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Free from ISP modem rental fees!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's not much to say... This modem does what it says it will do. Speeds are excellent. Installation is easy. Activation is fairly painless (provided you get a savvy service rep when calling your ISP). Best of all: the lights on the face aren't obscenely bright (a common complaint with a competing modem).

Fast - Reliable - Affordable
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow, fast modem. It will handle pretty much anything you need. If you have a static IP address with Sparklight you will need to get one that is wireless but other than that, it's a great buy. Maybe the "Best Buy" ;-)

Do you need a stable Ultra high-speed modem?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After experiencing a sudden death of my 2-year old modem, I went searching for a stable modem with a good reputation. And I found it! With a number of devices accessing the wireless router, I needed a stable modem to keep everything running. Set up was easy and straight forward. I couldn't be more happy with the performance of this Netgear modem.

Great modem
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was on the fence on buying this modem to replace an older Motorola as Netgear doesn't have the best rep in technology, but this modem works great. The set up was easy and the throughput is amazing. If you're on the fence about doing DOCSIS 3.0 or spending the money for 3.1, buy the 3.1

Solid Cable Modem
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid cable modem. Was able to replace providers modem with this one without fail. Wish the interface was a bit better, especially with what Netgear offers. Also wish there was an additional ethernet port. Overall, it’s a solid investment.

Netgear 3.1
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been dragging my feet for the last year after Comcast kept emailing me my modem was not compatible with speeds I was paying for. After doing a test I notice the modem I had was 4 years old and the fastest speeds I was getting was half of what I paid for. After doing research Comcast and Att plan on rolling out Fiber internet so to purchase a future proof modem made sense since I wont have to do this in 2 years after Comcast drags it feet rolling out fiber internet. Over all the set up was easy and what was nice is if you follow the directions that Netgear gives you don't have to wait on hold with Comcast. Set up too around 8 minutes and after 15 minutes for it to reboot computer I did a speed test and was blown away how fast it was and how outdated my modem was. Might cost a little extra upfront but if you in a area that might be rolling out 3.1 internet over the next 2 to 3 years it would make sense to spend the extra few dollars and future proof you system. Last time I checked to rent a modem router combo that is 3.0 was around 10 bucks. If you trade in your old modem and get 15 percent off this will pay for it self in less then 12 months.

Love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this modem to upgrade the current one. The first one we bought was defective. We returned/exchanged it. The second one works great! Along with it, we purchased Orbi. They work terrific together! Our internet works better than ever. Fast, easy to connect, and powers multiple devices at one time.

||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve always used net gear routers and they never let me down, paired with my net gear nighthawk Wi-Fi router I’ve never had faster internet speeds then wifi6. Good Modem
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this modem about a month and haven't had any issues to date. I don't use it to it's full potential but wanted to get it just in case I upgraded my speed. The shipping was extremely fast and setup was very easy. I haven't had any issues with internet cutting out at random times.

Excellent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sick and tired of mediocre performance from the Xfinity-supplied ‘high-end’ modem/router, I decided to purchase my own kit. This modem was easily configured on the Xfinity online setup page. Connection is very fast and super stable, I’m even achieving +10% up/download speeds over my contract plan! Very happy with the purchase.

Works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this to handle my 1gbps connection. My cable company tried to push a 2 in 1 router on me, so I went and purchased this instead. All my gear is netgear including wifi routera. Works flawlessly. Never drops connection. Not sure if it automatically updates the router to most up to date firmware. Very happy with the product.

Solid Modem
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid easy setup modem, you should be able to install it yourself if you have basic tech skills. I switched from Fios to Comcast, saving almost 50 bucks a month for similar download speeds. The upload speeds aren't as fast but that doesn't mean too much for the average home user.

Runs cool and is reliable and stable
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My cable connection has always been subpar in the SNR and downstream power levels but my Netgear CM1000 was up to the task and delivered a reliable connection day-afer-day. One important behavior to note is that it has plenty of ventilation and runs much cooler than other brands I tried. I have had no issues at all with it and it synchs up fine with 32 downstream and 5 upstream channels along with the ODFM channel to reliably provide my full subscription bandwidth.

Great value, DOCSIS 3.1.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem. Speeds are good. Looks stylish. Nothing much you can really say as long as it works. The price is a big factor in its value, much cheaper than the surfboard. Doesn't have the 2.5 Gbps capability though.

Nice modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The price was great, the new speeds from upgrading were even better. Great entry point for my Mediascam internet. If you currently rent your modem from your ISP and thinking about saving a little money and looking for a great upgrade too buy this bad boy!

Great modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were having slow internet Had Comcast come out and although some was a wiring issue, the modem we had was shot. I did my research and decided on this modem. Now getting speeds of 250+ MB’s/sec. This does not have Wi-Fi attached so you need a separate router with WiFi if that’s your goal. Easy to set up too
