Do not be swayed by reviews on BestBuy only, look at forums for support on this product. They all show how bad this product is. I was renting a modem from Xfinity and having no issues, but I decided to buy this one and stop paying the rental. From day 1 it worked poorly. Frequent disconnections, sometimes for a second, sometimes for a minute. I had to call Netgear because trying to get help through their online chat was useless as I would lose internet... because of the terrible modem. Once on the phone, it took a lot of back and forth for them to blame the provider, Xfinity, about my constant disconnections. So, to appease Netgear, I asked for a home visit with Xfinity. They came over, replaced and upgraded every connection, did diagnostics—nothing wrong on their end. Called back Netgear, after different resets (a soft one, a hard one, and some other type) I was still having frequent disconnections on all my devices. Finally, they agreed to replace the modem, and WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR THE SHIPPING!! The nerve!! Their product is faulty, and they want ME to pay THEM to fix it. I fought for free shipping, so they sent me a new one and I returned the faulty one. Turns out, new product works the same: terribly. Still get disconnections, still nothing I can do will fix it. The product is simply poorly made. Reading forums trying to fix my problem, I saw that hundreds of others have the exact same issue: frequent disconnections that are absolutely unfixable. At this point, I can't get my money back because of their 14-day return policy from day of purchase, but I will never be buying another Netgear product in my life. And, in every way I can, I will prevent others from spending money on them as well.

I brought this unit to replace the last modem I just recently got from Best Buy and I am very satisfied with the way it preform good signal

Best thing I did was ditch my rental modem and buy this guy. My internet is faster, my devices aren't losing wifi connectivity and I'm saving money on monthly rental fees. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great solution for a new cable modem.

It's not bad. Have an older model and haven't had to reset or anything since I got it.

So far so good. I have had no problems with this router. Install was super easy.

internet access has been easy to set up and works everywhere including basement.

This is after only 10 days of ownership, but anyway this router/modem is a significant improvement over the unit I previously had from my cable company. In particular, the wireless network is much faster. I have a 150 mbps internet speed plan with my cable company. I can get about 90 mbps on 2.4GHz and 140 mpbs on 5GHz. That's about double of what I used to get. This is being used in a small house (1200 sq ft), and for that size, this unit provides sufficient coverage. It's possible a more powerful unit is needed if the house is larger. The interface on the computer is nice. It's easy to configure settings, passwords, etc. Overall I'm impressed with this router/modem.

Love this router ! Finally found one that could handle our device load. Small house 1400 sq. ft. but 3 iPads, 3 phones, 2 laptops, iMac, and 3 streaming TVs, with devices. Very few buffering instances and very fast ! Finally !!

I wasn't sure of what modem/router I needed. Too many choices but a great salesperson helped me out. This combo of modem and router fits all my needs. I've only had to reset once since purchasing 2 months ago so it's performing reliably. Thanks

Router performs great, customer service was great in helping set up

I previously was having trouble with my modem and router that were separate. I decided to upgrade to a dual band modem/router combination. This one came highly recommended. It works like a charm ... no more being kicked off the internet!!

Great modem router set works well and got it mainly to avoid renting the xfinity internet box. Saves you a good amount yearly of the fee. Highly recommend

The Best Buy staff was very helpful with this product. I was switching to Concast but didn't want to pay their monthly charges for a lesser product so I got this. Easy to set up and easier to configure. Great product. Can't go wrong with Netgear.

Setup was seamless and connection quality is top notch. The Nighthawk App makes managing connections a breeze. Works perfectly for xfinity.

The router/modem works good, but FYI, if you need help from Netgear in the future, they charge an enormous amount. I will try not to purchase Netgear products in the future because of the outrageous charges for help with their products.

Works great with xfinity. No interference like others on different providers.

I would absolutely recommend this to people streaming, worth the money spent

Can't complaint I returned one for this one to relieve max and it does that.
