Devices could find the signal, but were not able to log on until the router was reset. I had to reset several times a day. Since it worked after being reset customer care didn't diagnose any issues. This one also had weaker signal than previous models of the same device. I decided to return the device after 2 weeks. Please note that the generic answer to updating firmware is to use the Genie app. This was told to me by customer service, but the only way to update firmware on this model is to have the ISP do it.

Seems to work fine

Also, I wanted to minimize how much the cable company could take advantage of me. This Netgear product seems to be a nice upgrade from what I would be "Renting" from the cable co. The tech people that I know said it is a fine piece of equipment. I am Not overly tech savvy, so I have to trust their opinion.
