Took the modem out of the box plugged it in and it worked. It was simple and the signal is strong for a good distance. Looks good too. I hated paying so much for it but very happy that it so far has been worth the extra cost.

Got this modem/router two years ago and this weekend I finally had enough of it and went and bout a new separate modem and router. This this was nothing but trouble for me. I’d like to think that I am tech savvy, but this thing frustrated me unlike any other device has ever done. Starting with the set up it was a nightmare. We called our internet company and the internet was fine so we knew it was the router. It kept freezing and was so glitchy. Continuing on for the next two years the internet would always be buffering and the speed was not as fast as ot was supposed to be according to the product specifications and our internet plan. The last straw was when the 2.4 GHz internet just disappeared. I did everything to try to get it to come back up. Again, I contacted the internet company and everything was fine on their end. After hours of messing with it, re booting it and returning it to factory settings I went and looked for a new router and modem set. Setting up the two separate devices was way easier than messing with this. They both have apps and my internet speed is way faster even with a home full of smart devices. My internet speed is actually faster than it’s supposed to be now. Would not recommend this. Stay very very far away from this product.

We were renting our modem/router from our internet company and had many problems. We finally figured out that the product they gave us was only for a few electronics and we have many. We have a two story house and apparently very well insulated so we had problems with the signal when away from the modem/router. This has fixed that problem!

While the Netgear C6300 is a bit pricey, it is fast and smooth to set up and connect with Time Warner. A nice feature is having the serial number, and device MAC address in a handy pull out card for reference during set up and registration with your cable provider.

I had this router up and running in about 5 minutes (which includes 4 minutes for my cable provider to recognize the new router). Great connection, great speed and ease of use you would expect from NetGear.

good box for twc, we have 3 ipads, 3 laptops, 2pcs, 4 iphones & 1 ipod all routed through wireless router/modem. We are using standard cable. Old router had to be constantly rebooted this router handles the traffic.

It took me 5 mins to set up. Faster speed. Love it.

Couldn't get good coverage from the provider modem, arrived at Best Buy explained the problems I was experiencing and was directed by the sales associate to my 2 options, I purchased this on the advise of the sales associate and to my delight, I now have complete coverage throughout my house. Great Modem, great investment.

I could not stand the Comcast router/modem anymore because it was never consistent. Sometimes I had good speeds and sometimes I had poor speeds. Also the range was terrible. I had trouble connecting to Wi-Fi on my phones and tablet even in the next room. I talked to a young technology savvy Best Buy associate and he said that for my usage and purposes, which is streaming TV shows, work and a couple cell phones connected to Wi-Fi that this router/modem will be more than enough and I don't need a crazy advanced one that was not in my budget. This one was decently priced and has exceeded my expectations with consistently fast speeds and a great range that reaches anywhere in the house.

Replaced my old unreliable cable modem with this and so far no complaints. Old modem would lock up and drop signal for days. This one has been nothing but reliable and fast. Easy to set up, too.

I bought this router to replace the one I was leasing from Time Warner Cable. The TWC router was locked down and I was having problems with setting up web filtering for my kids... the NetGear app would let me use OpenDNS and set up at least some basic filtering. It would be nice if it also had some kind of reporting on activity per device but that feature is not available as far as I can tell. The router has performed solidly for the most part. I have to reboot it maybe once a month, but it is unclear if this is the fault of the router or my provider, and it is inline with previous routers I have owned. The range is also quite good... the wifi signal from this router is solid in both upstairs and downstairs in my house.

This router and modem combo is highly rated everywhere you look. There isn’t much I can say that is not better explained by someone with more tech experience. What I will say is that out of the box it plugged in with no issues. It’s been a month since I installed it and it has exceeded my expectations. Super fast and reliable WiFi transmits without dead zones without slowing the feed in. For normal application this router/modem will do the trick and then some. It’s worth money being only a little bit more than the lesser options and nominally priced before overspending on the super high dollar tech that can’t deliver more without commercial service.
