I bought this router to replace the one I was leasing from Time Warner Cable. The TWC router was locked down and I was having problems with setting up web filtering for my kids... the NetGear app would let me use OpenDNS and set up at least some basic filtering. It would be nice if it also had some kind of reporting on activity per device but that feature is not available as far as I can tell.
The router has performed solidly for the most part. I have to reboot it maybe once a month, but it is unclear if this is the fault of the router or my provider, and it is inline with previous routers I have owned. The range is also quite good... the wifi signal from this router is solid in both upstairs and downstairs in my house.

I had a little trouble getting it setup with Comcast, but after a call to Comcast and some work on their part it's working great. I have Comcast's fastest internet 105 mbps and consistently get 105 to 120 mbps.

It is compatible with Time Warner (which is what I have) and it works really fast. The connection is great and the password in the back of the modem is easy to remember. It's not a bunch of random numbers. Def. worth the price. I just wish that it would be more compatible with other services since I might want to switch from TWC.

I used to have a separate modem and wireless router and thought I should try one of these out. The distance it goes is great for our home over 20000 sq. ft. and we have about a dozen devices using the wifi which makes this device a great buy. If you can buy it for around $100, I would definitely buy it. Worth the money!

Fast and flexible! Gives you 4G as well as the ability to set up multiple networks eg. private and guest. Powerful enough to provide coverage in a large space. Trouble free and easy to use.

Bought one March 2016 for elderly father’s house, where it has been humming along uninterrupted ever since, running monitoring cameras and his beloved iPad.
Trust it so much I bought a second for my wife and me in our new home.

Having the modem and router in one saves on space. Easy setup and no problem getting a good signal throughout the 2 story house. As far speed Comcast throttles the upload speed to 12mps so this equipment is overkill on the speeds that are available.

I had been using the Netgear N600 Dual band modem/router for the past 2 years or so with no complaints, but recently noticed I was getting kicked off online gaming quite frequently, so I looked into getting an upgraded modem/router. The N600 was only 8 x 4 channels and was not enough to support all the devices I have using the internet at any given time. I decided on this one over the Nighthawk because it was a little less and still a decent upgrade. I’ve had it for over a month now and I only wish I would have upgraded sooner. The 16 x 4 channels allow for multiple devices to be connected and the speed and coverage are great.

I love having the dual band and high speed capability, and it's a good enough device that I should have to upgrade again for at least a few years. It gets 4 stars instead of 5 because it doesn't play nice with a few-years-old wifi printer I have, and I haven't yet figured out how to get it to connect and stay connected.

If you have Internet and do not own your router then your throwing money away. The company is charging you a equipment fee and within two years. You have brought a new for the company. Other than that, I was seen faster speed and a lack of my router going down. Great piece of equipment to own folks...

I recently purchased the NETGEAR - AC1750 Dual-Band Wireless-AC Router with DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem. It is great and has made my access to the internet both faster, easier and more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this product and I'd like to thank the Best Buy rep who pointed me in this direction.

Bill wanted more speed through his cable provider and the modems they were offering couldn't handle what he needed for work. Bill purchased this modem/router, changed his cable provider and now is getting exactly what he needed for work.

This unit is a significant upgrade to my previous unit. It was very easy to set up, and I haven't had any issues with multiple connections, wireless and wired. Good product.
