This router and modem combination is excellent. I am able to have a dependable Wi-Fi signal and strength throughout the house. Also with the modem no rental charge from the cable company. Its nice to have one product that fits both needs.

The modem/router works as expected. Sometimes when I run a speed test, I get a faster connection than my ISP claims to provide (not sure if the modem/router amplifies it but it's worth noting). I wish the range was more forgiving though, had to use an extender for a bit before moving it to a better spot .

This was purchased so that we could get rid of the cable company rental fees. It has proved to be a very good modem, better than what we rented. We use TV streaming services, and have a few devices connected at a time and have not had issues with slowness or the TV freezing.

‭This router/modem is amazing. I was using a modem that was provided from my cable company and it didn’t work 90% of the time. Read great reviews on this and decided to get. Don’t have any dead spots in my house and it has been working great. Setup was easy and simple to follow.

Internet works good but the set up took awhile even the service providers had a hard time getting the initial set up to work properly. After the set up was complete, the internet has worked consistently, so far. No issues at this moment.

Technologically challenged so needed help to get set up, but once it was set up, it works great! Amazing how much better our internet is.

Bought this because of the stated range of the wifi. So far I haven't tried connecting from the stated distance. Hope to try it soon though. I haven't had any issues which is a good thing. I would recommend this router/modem for those that don't want to rent one from their cable/satellite provider.

Our home is 2 stories. The walls and super thick. Wireless communication between walls and floors is challenging. This Netgear dual band helped tremendous to extend the range of the wi-fi signal.

Easy install, then called spectrum to authorize. Upgraded to this unit because their “upgraded” unit took 7 calls to get running, then dropped out again. I had enough and got this. Spectrum unit throughput was only 30mbps/2mbps. This one is always above 80/8mbps.

My old cable modem slash router died on Christmas eve. (Motorola). I decided to try the Netgear product. I went with the 1750 model on the advice of the Best Buy salesperson. I no longer get bumped off the Internet and our WiFi signal is adequate through out our house and even outside.

I was renting a modem from Comcast and decided it was foolish to continue to pay this monthly fee. I saw the reviews for this modem and gave it a try. So far I have rebooted the modem about 1x per week as I don't have a WiFi connection but overall I am satisfied with the purchase.

Works great with my pc and cable service. No problem with getting wi-fi on other devices in the house. This my second NetGear AC1750. After using first one for about 2 years, a lightning surge through cable disabled mine. Bought the same model we had been using as replacement.

When I ordered it I thought that it was the best for thing to make the range of my internet go through my home. I have a very small home. So I automatically assumed this would be exactly what I needed. It failed. I had no idea there were ones you had that might have done a better job. So I’m stuck it. I really though the Netgear I brought was a Nighthawk but when I got it it didn’t say it on the box but it did in the description. So I guess I’m stuck with ii. :(

We bought a cheaper Zoom modem/router but it couldn't handle our networking needs and would also display a bad cable image. We have an Xbox One, laptop PC (wifi), PC (wired), two phones and a tablet on this Netgear and it's handling it like a champ. Haven't had to reset the router in weeks.

    Wifi Dropping Machine

It's possible xfinity has some program that hits modem router gateways that aren't theirs with a signal that makes them drop wifi. It's possible. I say this because this modem was purchased so that I didn't have to rent the xfinity one. It worked for two days then wifi dropped. I reset it, rebooted it and after a day of doing this it finally worked again. For at least another day that is. Then wifi would drop allowing only Ethernet connected devices to work. This occurred for a week and there are tons of forums, FAQ boards and sites where others have the same issue and no one has an answer. Amazing when it worked. Useless when it didn't.

Only con is that the print identifying the buttons is so small I can't read it. It's a hassle to have to magnify it so I can read which button to push. It must be 4 point or less. Really stupid labeling design when there is plenty of room for larger text like at least 10 point
