It was easy to set up. It was more than we needed but it was on sale. It was recommended by the customer service rep. Purchased to upgrade internet speed. Had to reset once when had no Wi-Fi signal on the phone and computer. No trouble otherwise. Normally use Motorola units without any problems. First time using Net Gear.

This router works great. However, we had to return it because we have comcast Xfinity and even though the box says it works well with Xfinity, it will not connect to the Xfinity wireless TV boxes. The internet ran perfectly for all of our devices except for the wireless box Comcast setup on one of our TVs. This is not an issue with the router, but an issue with Comcast. They said the wireless boxes are new and we are finding out they don't work very well.

I followed few steps instructions and the wifi was up and running within 10mins. I did have to call my ISP to add the modem but that was easy too. It's more expense than traditional modem/router combo but the signal is well worth it.

I bought this router/modem combo as a replacement to a previous Netgear router I had purchased just a couple of years ago. Over time it did not deliver consistent speeds/coverage. This router is a significant improvement and a lot less frustration now that frequent resets are a thing of the past!

I first wanted to get a cheaper modem router, but the Best Buy associate recommended to me this one. It was a little expensive, but totally worth it. It made my internet so much better and I never have issues with connectivity or even slowness. If this is how it's going to be in the long run, then it's worth the price.

This upgraded model is both inexpensive and easy to set up. Why pay rent on a unit from your provider? This model pays for itself in about one year. It is allowing me to write and submit this review.

I replaced this box per my Comcast representative because my old box showed many errors and it would always lose my air printer when I would go to print something. This box here never dropped the signal to my air printer and the speed of my WiFi is very fast. You won’t be disappointed

Have been using for about a week now. Seems to do the trick with Xfinity. Our plan is for 100 Mbps and we pull ~70 Mbps downstream regularly. We have a long-ish apartment layout (45' in the long dimension), and even in the bedroom, which is on the opposite side (i.e. about 45' away) from where the modem/router is placed, signal is decent (-60 to -70 dBm, 100% signal). And that's going through a couple walls. A couple minor hiccups with connections in the very first day or so, but it seems all smooth now. Netgear's app is also kinda cool for playing around with settings and assessing signal strength, etc. (Note: app not needed for installation.)

Purchased this to replace a Cisco Linksys WRT54G that had become a doorstop after having electrical work performed on my home. Looked at various options to replace only the WiFi router as I already have a Motorola ARRIS SURFboard SB6121 cable modem. I figured that since I was going to upgrade to 802.11ac account of other 802.11ac compatible hardware I had already purchased, I might as well replace what would again be two pieces of hardware, modem+router with one combined unit.

    Great Router Modem

I have Xfinity internet plan that “supposedly” goes up to 250mbps. I’ve always used the modem/router they provided. I have NEVER had a speed test download anywhere near 200! Lucky days, maybe 100. And Yes, I test hard wired in. I always had problems which required me having to reboot that stupid thing multiple times a month and I was at their store swapping them out more than I should have been. Andddd I was paying $11 a month for the headache (their rental fee). I finally decided to buy my own. This new router is FANTASTIC! I have speed test showing high as 300mbps download! Every test is consistently what I’m paying for or BETTER!I love the phone Genie app and the network share. The only thing that bothers me is I didn’t make the switch sooner! We were finally able to switch (with confidence) to be total streaming household. We use Xfinity for internet. DirectTv NOW, Netflix and Amazon prime for TV. This router was a GREAT investment.

Previously, we had a router and a separate modem that took up space and was just not strong enough. This NetGear product has a strong signal and was easier to understand than our previous NetGear router. Plus, it has the modem built in, which is very convenient.

    DOES NOT WORK WITH MIDCONTINENT

This modem will not work with midcontinent communications. Not sure why they are even selling this modem at the Bismarck best buy when midcontinent is the only cable Internet provider in town. Gave the product 5 stars because it is not fair to rate 1 star just because best buy guaranteed me it will work. I'm sure the product is great. Lesson here, never listen to a best buy employee.
