This unit replaced a more entry level router/modem from the same brand. This performs far better: faster, far less finicky with connectivity, and an increased broadcasting range of the wireless signal throughout my home. For your comparison’s sake: my home is under 2000 sf and has two connected televisions, a laptop, a cellphone, 5 Echo devices, a Nest thermostat, and a handful of smart plugs. Not heavy on internet usage but I certainly rely on the wireless signal to make my connected devices operate effectively and without lag. This router/modem might be a bit of overkill for my needs but I’m very satisfied with its performance.

I am definitely not an expert in this area but did not like Time Warners router speed and poor coverage in our house. I tried a few different routers before this one and had to return them all for poor/slow performance. This router reaches all areas of our two story house (and basement) with good performance. Still has fast speed when multiple people using the wifi.

Very easy installation and excellent performance. Price is also very good compared to Arris Modems. Having the modem router combo is very good and you can easily save on monthly rent charges for modem. Have used it for 3 months now and would highly recommend it for buyers who are looking for a good range. If you have a two story home, install it in on the second floor. Performance is even better.

I was really into getting a cable modem/router with AC technology, had to stay with brands that were compatible with time warner, knew netgear had a great rep., man was I right, this is by far the best modem ive ever owned, wifi is way stronger, way better, piece of cake to set up, was actually interested in the c7000 nighthawk, but the store rep, who was very helpful told me it would be overkill, so I went with the c6300, absolutely no complaints, running 5ghz wifi with no loss or buffering, can add twice as many items to wifi network without it causing any problems at all, AC wireless is the absolute way to go.

The router is really fast. It was easy to set-up. The only issue I have is that the connection drops on a PC occasionally. It works fine on a mac, phone and TV.

Tired of renting a modem/ router from TWC, I decided to purchase my own Dual Band Modem/ Router.
The Netgear AC1750 is Super Fast, EZ to Setup and has a Strong Wi-Fi Connection covering the Entire House. Better yet is the fact that this unit will pay for itself in the first year of use. Got a need for Speed and Reliability... get the AC1750 by Netgear!! -DeejayLee ^_~

The comcast router/modem they provide is terrible. You have to pay a fee to rent it. This router is great. The speeds are much faster than what the rented comcast router provides. Very easy set up and use. Only negative is that it doesn't allow for phone access, you would need a separate modem for the phone line.

Major Upgrade from Xfinity Equipment!

We recently moved from an area with AT&T Gigapower to an area where AT&T only offered 12 Mbps. Thus, we were forced to go with Comcast Xfinity, and we opted for the Blast! service with speeds up to 150 Mbps. Significantly slower, but we figured it should be acceptable. What we didn't anticipate was the limitations of Comcast's equipment (AT&T's worked great). The router did not reach our entire house (2,200 sq ft one-story), so we bought a Wifi Range Extender. This helped, but we now had issues with our devices constantly changing networks and cutting in and out - almost worse!
Finally, after receiving an email that they were increasing our speeds to 200 Mbps, we realized we needed to upgrade our equipment, as we likely weren't even able to see these speeds realized with theirs. On our Wifi Extender, I was only getting 12 Mbps on a 2015 MacBook Pro, capable of 802.11ac.
This cable modem / router combo got fantastic reviews for Xfinity service, so we were in!
First off, installation was a breeze! Simply unplug the old equipment, plug this in and GO! After connecting with my laptop, it immediately prompted me to activate the equipment on our Comcast account. All I had to do was enter my account information (username and password) and the equipment was activated and up and running. No phone calls necessary.
Of course, the first thing I did was run a speed test (on Wifi, right next to the equipment) and I was floored to see that I pulled speeds BETTER than the tier we are paying for (234 Mbps down / 12 Mbps up). And that was on Wifi!
Couldn't be happier and we're kicking ourselves for not making this change sooner. Not only are we getting the service we're paying for (and then some), but the range reaches the entire house, so no more extender and bouncing between networks.
Oh, and no more equipment rental fee from Comcast, meaning that I won't end up paying thousands over the years for a $100 piece of equipment!
Highly recommended!

Our Linksys router didn't get along well with Time Warner's modem, causing connection issues and a weak signal. We sent Time Warner their modem back and replaced it with this modem/router combo. We love it. It has a strong signal in our 2000 sq ft home, has a smaller footprint than having a separate router and modem, it's fast, it works well with the Nest thermostat and doesn't drop the signal.

If you have TimeWarner Cable and are using any of their speed tiers 50MB+, this modem is a no-brainer. It is certainly a pricey choice, but gone will be the days of constant speed issues and having to reboot your modem constantly. This thing just works, and the wireless speeds are VASTLY improved over the rental modems TimeWarner charges $9/mo to use. I am in DFW and the connections are due to be upgraded from the current 100Mb/5Mb max to 300Mb/20Mb in May 2015. With the 100Mb plan, the rental modem's wireless capped out around 80Mb if I was lucky. Once I replaced it with this one I am consistently getting around 113Mb/7Mb. This modem supports speeds over 600Mb, so it should stay relevant for years to come; this is important as it takes about 2 years worth of "rental fees" to break even. In summary, this is totally worth the investment and if you want the 300Mb speeds coming soon, you'll have to buy the modem any way then as there is no rental option.
