It's a combo modem and router. It's cool. And since it's a netgear it is very easy to Configure.

After several months using this modem router I am very satisfied with this purchase. Yes, it delivers faster internet, excellent signal covering complete house. Got it on sale at good price and pretty much I have recovered my inversion - bye bye COMCAST rented modem.

I stream tv in my home. I had older, basic separate modem and router that were dropping the wifi and slowing down the streaming constantly. They needed replacement. I chose this product because I didn't know which one was causing the problem - the old modem or the old router or both - so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone, with the combined modem/wifi router. I have not been disappointed. Installation was fairly simple, though you have the extra step of registering the modem with your cable company - and I have not had any more streaming problems since. To give you an idea of the capacity of the router, I have about 5 Roku streamers, 5 cellphones, 2 laptops, 2 wireless desktops, 2 chromebooks, 2 game systems, and an internet radio system, at least a few of which are competing for wifi at any one time, and the wifi has not hiccupped yet. I would definitely recommend this product.

This box is a beast! Over 2016 Christmas/New Year we had our in-laws visiting. There was total of 16 wireless and 2 wired devices connected to this router - some were on the 2.4GHz and some on the 5GHz wireless band. We streamed movies from iPad to Apple TV, moved yuge files between devices, streamed Netflix, did Skype, and tons of other things. This router handled everything flawlessly. In fact, I think our Comcast cable Internet was more stressed than this box. This router is so stable that I did not have to reboot it even once since it was installed in December 2016 - that's 9 months of solid reliability! We are getting consistent 120 Megabits per second performance and since this unit was configured it required literally zero attention. Highly recommended. *Remember to update the firmware when you install this router, and check for firmware updates every few months.

Purchased due to changing to Xfinity Internet. Easy to set up and get connected. Very happy so far.

Installed Dec, and has provided consistent wifi throughout the house. Pleased with purchase.

haven't been using this a week yet and already know that it's worth the money. I went from 30 down/10 up to 300 down to / 30 up with this upgrade! Set up was incredibly easy, and the admin site it easy to use. The nighthawk is circling my home and it's awesome!

After determining that the gateway was compatible with Comcast, I decided to make the investment to save the monthly fee of using their hardware. The device information is easy to access, and the admin interface is also very easy to navigate and manage. I would highly recommend this device to anyone who is looking into purchasing a new gateway that meets the latest network standards and will last for the next several years.

This modem works great and it comes with a router built in which is very convenient.

This modem/router is excellent! It's certified by time warner cable so I get a full 300MBps.

This device was easy to setup and is a great replacement for my old router. I was quite pleased by the range on both bands as well. It is currently placed in the center of my house and has to go through many walls for full coverage, but I don't have dead spots anymore.
