This is great for homes with lots of things trying to connect to wi-fi. The modem that the cable company gave us was a joke. If more than 5 thing tried to connect to the modem at one time it would get bogged down and start kicking people off. We haven't had a problem since switching.

The over all product does work very well. We achieved our goal of not renting a router from the Cable company. It does allow our friends to use the guest network while our home using the main network. I did have some challenges learning how to use the device to enabling all of the features.

I have purchased this modem to avoid the comcast xfinity modem rental fee $10...This modem is very Easy to install ..It works great . So far no issues with the connectivity. In fact better than the comcast xfinity one....

Excellent MODEM/Router combo that I'm more than happy with. If you don't know what a dual band router is, it basically allows you to have two wi-fi networks that operate on two different bands. And while some dual band routers will only transmit on one band at a time, this will transmit on both bands at the same time. We recently cut cable and rely almost solely on our internet for watching movies or shows, but this has held up very well so far - we have game consoles for gaming/streaming on one band and laptops/tablets/phones on the other. The limiting factor will be your internet speed because, more than likely, this combo will handle well over what your service provider can give you. (I believe it can do over 300 mbps on each band simultaneously.)

I just moved into a new home. Comcast recommended that I consider buying a NETGEAR - AC1750 Dual-Band Wireless-AC Router with Docsis 3.0 Cable Modem. The Comcast easliy installed the router & modem and it works flawlessly.

I had time warner cable internet in the past with a cisco wireless router. I was looking for something more...better connection, better speed and i found both. It was a little pricey but it all has worked out so far. No extra fees that i have to pay time warner...so in the end i will actually save money! highly recommended product. thanks best buy!
