WAY better than what we had

Turns out, internet was NOT great. A lot of issues with it just shutting down and not available. We walk into best buy for another reason one day and ended up talking to someone about this. I don't know much about this stuff at all, but they explained it pretty well. The modem that came with our Spectrum cable turned out to be REAL basic... It can't handle all our devices and streaming. My husband decided to purchase and installed right away. Internet was SO much faster and didn't just stop working! The only reason I gave 4 stars is one weekend our internet was down...and we really could not pin point if it was this item or Spectrum?

Works really well. i work from home, use several computers and devices at the same time while streaming TV and video conferencing super fast with no problems at all. Would purchase again.

Had one for years but new one was defective.

The old one worked well and caused no problems for many years. I bought an identical one and when I tried to activate it with the cable company it turned out to be defective. One good one, one bad one. you choose.The new one was eventually was returned after many hours of work.

Fast while it’s working
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The reason I am giving it a 3 out of 5 is due to constant WiFi drop out/disconnect issues on a constant basis. I had to do some research and figure out which channels to use to decrease interference, setup which devices I wanted on the 5G vs 2.5G. Called my ISP to request firmware update, called NETGEAR for assistance and were told conflicting information. Basically, it you’re not a tech savvy person, it can be very frustrating to get it working.
