I was tired of paying the monthly fee to my cable company for an inferior modem. So I did some research and decided to buy this Netgear modem/router combo. What a difference it made! The modem provided by my cable company was slow and couldn't seem to handle multiple devices as it buffered a lot. This Netgear modem/router is blazing fast and never buffers. I am glad I bought it, both for the awesome performance and no more monthly modem rental fees.

Basic hook up was simple. Options such as parental controls are not beginner friendly. So I have not completed any of that. I have had the internet signal disappear a few times already, and I dread that it is an issue with this modem. This thing was double the price of what I was going to buy, and I'm a bit disappointed.

Easy to install. I like the app for the dashboard of usage etc. Never lags even with multiple users streaming and gaming.

Overall a pretty good router. Rare connectivity issues, and my network sometimes has problems with the 5GHz Band. But it sends a fairly strong signal through my home.

I purchased this because the version I wanted (was slightly better) wasn't in stock. At first I thought it was good and it worked flawlessly for the first week. Then the issues started. At first it was andom times when webpages would load slow. Then watching online video would buffer frequently and/or get pixelated. To fix was a simple reboot but it happened too often for my likings. If you use the internet to perform simple tasks then this router is for you (never mind the equipment fee savings from your cable company) but, if you're like me and use the internet to its fullest, you may want one with more options for heavy users. I went with the C7000 & it works better for me.

I have been able to surf web and all the usual stuff without any problems. I think Netgear should work on a better design maybe rubber corners and just make it look beefier then I may give 5 stars 4 for this product. I think they should drop the price too.

I went shopping for a cable tv modem to save money on my cable bill as suggested by the cable bill associate so I wouldn't have to "rent" their cable modem, thus saving money eventually. Anyway, at the Best Buy store the sales associate helped me out by giving me the scoop on what's available. I also wanted to upgrade my wifi router. He explained the newest wifi speed AC, and so I opted to buy a better model with dual modems, instead of just buying a tv cable modem. It's much bigger than my old Netgear wifi router, but now I have an upgraded wifi modem and cable modem in one box. Looks awesome standing up and it was easy to set up. One month now and it works great.

Great device - easy setup. This is for my 2nd home - have the exact same one in my primary residence - they both work flawlessly and deliver fast and consistent wired and wireless speeds.

I was looking for a Modem / Router for my roughly 1200 sq foot house, and not only does this reach every room in the house perfect, but speeds are high, and I even get internet in my garage

I hooked this up so ANYONE can hook one up! It is fast! I don't have connection issues and I thought that I would. I have it located in a tv stand. I have zero complaints.

Easy to install, used old password and walla everything worked great, only faster. One call to Comcast to activate the unit and away we go.

This modem router works beautifully in my apartment. Streams movies and shows seamlessly. Excellent range and reliability for multiple laptops in use at the same.

Worked right out of the box. Easy to set up. Nice looking modem that sits straight up and down. If you have a tight space you are putting it in, might be too tall for some shelves.

I was tired of wasting money renting modems from my cable company, so I decided to buy this router/modem combo. The cable company cautioned me against it saying it wouldn’t work, but that was because they wanted my rental money. It works great and it has already paid for itself.

Not only am I not throwing $10/mo to my service provider, but I have not had any issues. From initial set-up to day-to-day operations, this thing has been a noticeable improvement in my home.

This is being used by 4 college students in a split plan house of approx. 2400 square feet. No problems with them getting wi-fi and no problems with it bogging down when they are all on line. very happy with this combination modem/router
