I was expecting it to improve the wifi coverage in our home since it was replacing a 5yr old model, but the improvement was very small and unfortunately our wifi speeds seemed to have decreased slightly since installing it. It hasn't been extremely significant, but one of those things my family has noticed once one person mentioned it.

Works Great

I've been using it for two months and really like it. I have Comcast Blast package and I never have delays in my movies or computer gaming. I just wish I knew how to set my phone up so what would automatically connect to the 5G rather than the slower speed 3G.

Great for the price

No. But for the price, it has great range and after a month I've yet to experience a drop in signal/service. Bit of advice: Plug into a surge protector. After a storm, the initial purchased router would power on but it wouldn't send out a signal. Got it replaced and the replacement works swimmingly.

Much needed

I saved 10 bucks a month with this purchase. As for Comcast, they said oh we would've given you a faster modem. Well Comcast how about mentioning the faster modem when I picked up the equipment? Anyway I'm glad I have my own with a 3 year warranty just in case

Great modem, needed firmware update.

Cable company had no problem activating router, but had to call Netgear as could not connect to the internet. Logged into router and firmware was out of date, updated in a few minutes and now it works fine.

I had to call net gear to unblock it for my streaming to connect. Of course it was a tech person with broken english/ hard to understand. Cost too much.

I also got tired of having a modem and router which is why I decided the combo. Install was easy and the configuration menu is easy to navigate. After I activated it I was getting really close to my specified internet speed. Also my wifi range has aignificantly increased.

Updates are hard to get

Netgear used to have the easiest software for updates but I don't know what happen there. There is an app but that does not help at all.
