One of the few cable modem/routers with wireless that is approved by Oceanic Cable/Time Warner. Works. Admin interface is ok.

With this router and Xfinity service our internet speeds are excellent and stable. Streaming TV is also perfect but, the router doesn’t support Apple AirPrint. Printing via wifi is fine but not with an iPhone or iPad. Don’t forget to get the little battery for the internal battery backup!

It's much better than my old Comcast one. I can't really compare it to much else. BUT- I'm saving money on my Comcast bill.

Netgear will not honor warranties. Bricked device.

Great product when it works, but good luck working with Netgear if it does not. Access to the gateway is often hindered by their push for the nighthawk app. If you are having connectivity issues (dropping, etc.) it makes this app nearly useless.
My main issue is that my 5ghz band works fine for about 30 minutes on, 2 off. The 2.4ghz band does not work at all despite its SSID showing up on devices.
Factory resetting does not fix this issue nor does changing the SSID/password/channel combination. I have tried changing to static IPs to no avail.
The largest problem with all of this is Netgear’s shady warranty practices. Despite the hardware still being covered, they would not do a check on it without first buying their premium software support package. Additionally, getting into contact with support in the first place is extremely difficult. They block out the phone number on the nighthawk app unless you pay for their premium subscription. Finding the support number on the official website is also a tedious process. All in all, I’ve spent quite a number of hours troubleshooting this router and contacting Netgear.
As someone with some internetworking background, I am appalled by Netgear’s shady practices and lack of support. I do not usually write reviews, but this situation has been utterly ridiculous.

I have had several versions of NETGEAR routers throughout the years and this is the best one I have had. Works great and contains additional features for parental controls and guest access etc., and it is faster than other brands I have tested.

This router has good speed, quality, and compatible with Time Warner cable. I haven't really been able to see how fast this processes with several different devices connected to WIFI, but I will need to continue to test this router out to see if what the sales guy informed me would provide more devices with greater speed.

For the price of the NETGEAR - Dual-Band AC1750 Router with 16 x 4 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem, it simply pays for itself in just over a year. If you can save, why wouldn’t you? Additionally, it functions/competes highly well with numerous brands. I’ve had no issue thus far and very satisfied.

We had another internet provider for years and had quite the problems with them. We ditched them for another and decided to go with cable internet. That company set everything up with no problems whatsoever with this dual band router. We have had it about a month now and no problems so far. Super fast!

Setup was easy, much more reliable than ISP's rental unit, lot's of features and app is also useful. Couldn't see renting old unit any longer as its aging technology and performance have little to no value.

Purchased to replace my TWC modem and router. The distance showed in the store was the real selling point as i have a 2k sq feet home and it is in a media closet at the front corner. I do get 3-4 bar reception at the other side of the home sometimes but still better than any modem/router provided by the cable company.

I wasn't too excited about how expensive it is but I must say it's easily the best modem I've ever owned. You can tell right away that this new device is so much smoother and faster than any other stuff from the past.

I went in to buy a router and the tech told me to get this product. It performs just the way he explained to me.
