WOW!!!!! Easy Easy Easy, Plug and Play
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So Fast and easy to set up. Beware there is a 5G network that you have to also set the password to, but with new computers and phones the speeds are crazy fast. Just in love with it, great choice.

So far so good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordered this router on Thursday June 7th off Amazon and got it Friday, so far I'm really impressed with the device, I'm getting exceptionally great network speed on big file transfers and excellent range compared to the WNDR3700. I was debating whether to return the WNDR3700v3 I had and keep this one or the other way around, but as as soon as I set this up and upgraded to the latest firmware, I was dead sure which one to keep. The router has been going for 3 days straight without a hitch and hopefully will stay this way, seems pretty stable to me, been streaming HD movies from my main PC to the living room TV and out of my WDTV Live Hub over the network to that TV as well which is over 40 feet away from the router with no buffering at all, amazing! No need to buy a network extender anymore, which had been among my future plans to increase Wi-Fi coverage in the house. At some point today I was streaming Netflix on my bedroom TV and making a full system backup to Acronis Online backup service, while my dad was streaming another HD movie over the network off the main desktop PC, and my relative who is visiting us was using the Guest Network, al this activity simultaneously and all smoothly. Access to my external 500GB hard drive through ReadyShare seems to be faster than ever, same as to streaming content from it, VERY happy with my purchase so far!

Excellent router that's worth every penny
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this router for a few months, and it's excellent. I've gone through a handful of $40 routers before, so I was hesitant to spend so much on this one. However, it's true that you get what you pay for. This one can handle many devices (even when we have a party and give out the the WiFi password to everyone to us on their phones) and we no longer have an issues streaming multiple video services at once. It's also powerful enough that my phone connects the second I pull into the garage! Overall, excellent router.

Robust good value for long term.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a pretty old Linksys that was giving me weak spots in parts of the house and periodically required resetting. I was also concerned it could not support the speeds my provider was giving me. So the R6300 was a big upgrade for me, but it exceeded my expectations. My hard line speed increased from 25MPS to 56. My wireless speeds went from 12MPS to almost 50. Range is no longer a problem, although speed decreases some with distance. I'm now able to share internet with another apartment and get stronger signal anywhere on three floors and basement. Set up was straight forward. I have modest technical savvy, but this didn't pose any challenge and wont for anyone whose ever set up any kind of wireless router. The Genie software is nice because I can see and identify all the devices on my wireless. I never realized how many devices we have but sometimes there's as many as 15 phones, tablets, PCs or consoles on at the same time and it handles them all fine. The software even notifies when there's "high traffic", but even with all those devices it's got plenty of capacity to handle then all even with high usage. I was disappointed that the iOS Genie app is poorly supported and has not been updated to include R6300. It was a little pricey, but I was looking for something that was going to give me reliable performance for my needs for a long time. I've been using it a couple of months and so far it fits the bill.

Great and easy to set up router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product! This was easy to set up and use, especially for a non-techie such as myself. The range and signal strength were both really good-especailly in our house with a metal roof and lots of rooms. As well as reaching to our office in a separate building next door.Typically we would need two routers but this handles everything well and fast. My only gripe is that the printing on the password is so small it is difficult to see-(on the sticker that is used on the router). But that is not really a detriment to this product. I would and have recommended this product to many others. *And I have used and purchased at least 3 for various uses and other offices so far.

I love this router!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally got this router about a year ago for my home in VA, to replace the verizon fios router that kept on dropping our connections. I had such a great experience with the first one, that I bought a second one for my home in Ecuador to replace an old wrt54gs. It is so much faster with all devices, regardless of band or rated speeds. This one improves all of those values easily! On the first router, My two fastest systems (802.11n) run on the 5GHz band at an average speed of 216Mbps. One is about 150ft away on the second floor with several walls in between, the other is 90ft away, the opposite direction, second floor and several walls, closets, etc., in between as well. Eventually I'll upgrade them to AC Wireless cards, but for now, these do the trick. For my other router, its positioning is very tricky, and all floors and walls are made out of thick concrete and brick, so I was a bit concerned it wouldn't reach all corners of my home. But this router caught me by surprise! It actually reaches very easily everywhere in my house (5 split level layout, technically 3 stories high). I get signal out in the patio, the kitchen, practically everywhere but the furthest corner of the house. i will solve this on my next trip by repositioning the router on a more central location, but for now, it does what I need. The parental controls are a blessing, as I can filter out content and sites I do not want entering my house. It is very easy to configure and you don't even need to be next to the router to configure it. Using DynDNS, I can do wonders with my routers, as well as to create my personal home clouds. I could keep going on and on about it, but in short, it just works and I am pleased with its performance and features. I haven't used all features, but I know they are there for if and when I do have to use them.

Great Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading some of the reviews I was skeptical whether or not this product would work for an extended period of time. So far this product is working flawlessly. I didn't find the administration set up within the router any more difficult than any other netgear router. Netgear did a good job at keeping the interface similar throughout their product-line. This router has an exceptional range almost twice as far as my old router and also now into my basement. For the novice user that just needs a router for extended range and can work with the default configuration then this router will work perfectly fine - just plug and play.

Definitely worth the upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll be honest, I was in the market for a router because my other was dead. A friend had recently purchased a Netgear Nighthawk router and had nothing but good things to say about its coverage. I picked up this Netgear router as it was the best price in my budget that also used the Beamforming technology. I have not been disappointed. I was skeptical about Beamforming but now that I've seen it work, I'm sold. My only gripe is the Netgear Genie app for phones and tablets. I was hoping that it would give access to make changes to the router but all it really does is just give you a quick way to see the current stats.

Amazing Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this router. I upgraded an old N router that had a few dead spotes in my house. Also, I was having to reboot to get proper connections. This router fixed my problems. I have it in my basement and it reaches throughout the whole house. Connectivity and Speed is great. Also, I love that it allows existing printers to be Airprint Printers and I can now print from my iPhone or IPad. We use the guest access too. It is nice to let people on our network without having to give them our main password. The set-up was easy (except for having to change the 20+ devices in my house) and the genie app works well on computer or iPhone. My only criticism is the price. I had a hard time shelling out the $200 for this router, but it has been a great purchase so far.

Powerful router, good for large homes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been moving up the router scale for years. First with the early routers, than the N routers, then the N routers. My router is located on the first floor of a two bedroom home and 4 computer users are tied to it and my printers are wireless as well. Each person also has an iPhone which they use the home network to connect to as well. I was needing better performance, both in reach and speed, so I gegan researching routers again. It was pretty easy to determine that the Netgear AC Gigabit router was the most powerful on the market. I wanted the most powerful wireless, but I also wanted to be able to wire directly into it. The Netgear AC Gigabit offered everything I needed. I was hesitant to change. My router worked already and it can be a major headache to change the settings on the computers. I was so pleased when I installed it, not only is the router more powerful, but it has gotten easier to install! It set up like a dream (no disc!) and everything connected right away. I did have to uninstall the printers and reinstall, but that was simple and fast. Great router. Highly recommend it. Also recommend buying in the store, not lonline, so you can see the other routers, their size and their features. The sales people at Best Buy know these routers well. When I grabbed the Netgear AC Gigabit, the sales guy commented, "Oh, you want the fastest router on the market" Of course, i had to up him and I said "I want the fastest, most powerful and I want dual band" :)

Great upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to this Netgear R6300 from a DLink 812 router. In my current placement the DLink was overheating and resetting itself on an almost nightly basis (only a summer issue more of a design flaw on the house than the router - worked great in the same spot in the winter). Seeing as how the DLink was aging it was time for an upgrade. Not only does this have better range but its faster too. CNET was helpful in pointing me to this product and because of the separate power brick from the router, it does not overheat and reset itself. The setup was a breeze and now I have full bars as I walk around with my laptop on the same floor as the router and on the floor below it only sacrifices one or two bars as I walk all around the house (the DLink only had one or two depending upon which room on that floor). The computer in the basement two levels away from the router even gets a full three bars. Tremendous difference! Wish it was lower in cost but Best Buy had a promo online which the store honored and reduced the price a little. After three months I would recommend this product.

Excellent Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks nice, Performs great! The performance I'm getting from this is AWESOME! I upgraded from an older Wireless Netgear router because i wasn't getting the best connection around the house (it was an old router in case that was missed). Now I can go outside about 50-75 yards and I'm still getting 4 bars or better for connection (Its awesome!) I do quite a lot of video streaming with netflix, amazon, and vimeo and it handles it with no problems (on either 2.4GHz or 5GHz)! We also have several devices connected through it such as 5 computers 2 PS3s and 2 Tablets and I am able to stream on all devices simultaneously and when we have people over to game we are all on one router and there is virtually no lag! All in all its a great buy and I have no complaints! (Other than my internet connection isn't fast enough and needs to be with verizon FiOS or Google's 1000Mbps!) Thanks NETGEAR! GREAT PRODUCT!

Very good product and very easy to install.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not very tech savvy, so my wife would not let me change to a new router unless my college age son were home. We did it together, and it took about 10 minutes. Very simple to install. It was nearly "plug-and-play". It works very well, and does what we want faster than the old Linksys router. It is automatically password-protected. I then asked all 4 of us in the house to go online AND I went to the far corner of the house. No problem! Thanks, Best Buy!

Great for 3d tv apps and more
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an old N300 it worked great but I couldn't get bars in one bedroom or my 3d tv. This new one though gives me great range and it is strong enough to play my 3d movies apps on my Samsung 3d tv. Before it would buffer all the time now it plays perfect with this router. We can play TiVo , phones and computers all at once. It's worth the money. I compared a lot and I am happy with my choice. It was an important decision to find coverage and run my 3dtv.

Easiest Install Ever!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has to be the easiest router I've ever installed. I say that with zero exaggeration. From opening box to having my network up and running could have taken no more than ten minutes. This setup should be how every router should be. Take note Linksys, Belkin, and D-Link. The router comes with a GUI interface that gives you all the important information most home users need. I kept the default password because it was an actually unique password instead of the silly admin/password combo most routers come with. None of my wireless has the ac standard. Most have N, some have G. Yet I feel that I am definitely getting a performance boost on all my wireless toys. My range has increased with this as well. Netgear, you have yourself a faithful customer after buying this one. My only real gripe is the size of this thing. It's huge!

Great wireless router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Netgear 6300 is an update and upgrade from my previous Cisco Linksys. The older Linksys did fine but was starting to slow down in speed. This new simultaneous dual band works great. I'm just intermediate tech skill level, but set up was pretty easy, including our wireless printer. Signal is very good in my 3 level home and the speed is Awesome..even while the family is using multiple wireless devices.

Strong signal, faster downloads
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced older Netgear N-router to improve coverage in my house and it has really worked. The signal strength allows good connections anywhere in my house, no more dead-zones. Access speed seems about 2X better as well. Would recommend this to anyone who is having problems with uniform coverage and has a limited budget.

Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great router. It was extremely easy to set up and has great connection speeds and covers a big house with excellent range. It was a little pricey. However, with the easy set up and awesome speed/connection it was well worth paying the extra for.

Great Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a 5 year-old D-Link with this. The D-Link router was great, but I was looking for a little better range and newer technology (like AC). This one gives me all of that. The Asus was very easy to set up. The interface is far better than the D-Link. Very easy to navigate, figure out what is going on with the network and make any changes.
