The web browsing feature that was poorly described on the box, only works with intel processors. What! How was I suppose to know that. And also, it only works from a laptop. Why do I need this to work from my laptop, I need it to work from to TV! Aaahhh!

We bought a flat screen TV a while back, without any network interface. We wanted to be able to watch NETFLIX etc on that TV, and this little box does is! It was very easy to install It was very easy to configure, just a matter of following the screen help step by step. The wireless network was found and connected in no time at all. Overall: very recommendable.

Seems to be a lot more hype than reality. Time will tell if it is worth the time and expense.

Remote is not working all of sudden after few days. Very slow to use it. Network setup also not good, every time I should set the same AP.

The NeoTV is in my son's room and he mostly uses it to watch Netflix We are happy with the device and the selection of channels and movies. The service works great however sometimes we get a message that reads "no service". Not sure if it's my Internet network connection or the device but it goes away on it's own.

Purchased to replace an 8 year old NETGEAR media player. Bad choice. Was very slow. I have a hard wired gigabit network and the video took forever to load. Very sluggish and the user interface is very busy. The remote design was smart and the features are plenty but the performance is not worth a penny.

It plays .mkv files but there is no sound when it plays. Great picture but unless you read lips, it's sucks. plays other video files, avi, mp4 etc. though. Just get the WD player instead.

I already have 2 Rokus but thought I would try this one because I liked the idea of the keyboard on the remote. The first one I bought had a DOA remote. Exchanged it and then the real disappointment started. Had a lot of trouble connecting to my wireless. It finally did and the interface was interesting and actually liked the main interface as it was so different from the Roku. I tried Netflix first. When watching there was a 2-3 second delay between a button push and the NeoTV response. in other words if you press pause it would take several seconds for the video to pause. Then again for play. Also no Amazon video. The keyboard is nice when it actually decides to work. You have to push a button to turn it on which fails most of the time. Very surprised that Netgear would put out such a piece of junk.

At the end of the day its super small and the wireless and hard connection option to the network. control is super easy to use and has hot keys already set up popular apps. It's great!

I bought this unit thinking it was a good alternative to the Sony Internet Player with Google TV or WD Live, given the feature set, but I had difficulty from opening the box. The unit and remote had a very cheap feel to them, and I guess for $69, what should I have really expected? The set-up seemed easy enough, but the unit continually disconnected from my home network, although it was clearly in range. One of the features I hoped to use was the SlingPlayer app, which is designed to work with my Slingbox 350, and occasionally it worked, but even when it did it was extremely slow and hard to use. In the end, after several days of trying various features, most of which failed to deliver as advertised, I returned the NeoTV Max for a full refund. I ended up getting a Sony GoogleTV, and while its interface is far from ideal, and it is quite a bit more expensive, both its QWERTY remote and the SlingPlayer app work very well. I would stay away from the NetGear product until they resolve some of the quality issues.

I quite enjoyed using this streaming player. I wish I had found it before I spent the money on Push 2 TV for WiDi for wireless display from my laptop to tv. It has a nice selection of apps. I did not see Amazon app and I don't know how to add apps.

Easy to use. My little girl loves it. I primarily bought it for streaming video to my child's room. She loves it. Very easy to use and lots of extra features. Turns any TV into a smart TV.

I'm a tech idiot, so I had my son set it up, otherwise it would never have worked, and it took me a while to get the hang of using it correctly. Still is a bit hard to move through the system. The added value of options is great though.

The unit often freezes up and I have to unplug the power chord and plug it back in to reboot. The selections mostly require a paid subscription, for instance, hulu is not available, but hulu premium is because it requires payment. There is no browser for surfing the net.
