The signal in my den came up to the same rate as the primary router where before, the signal was 50% of the primary even with a type N local router in the room. Have NO latency with video on the TV, just resolved all connection issues. It does seem to throw out a separate signal for 2.4 and 5 Hz ranges, so I have to determine which to use and stick with it. I would have thought that there would be an AUTO feature to allow the devices select the best option given current circumstances. That option may exist somewhere, but I haven't had time to research it further. It is pricey, but my primary router is a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 and just made sense to keep everything compatible.

Like most Netgear equipment I have purchased, it was easy to get up and going. I had a small hurdle connecting it automatically to my current wifi, but was able to use their web app to setup within a couple of minutes. It has good range with both the 2g and 5g respectively.

Bought this to complement my already awesome NG Nighthawk XR500 wireless router and... WOW! All of my wireless devices and I mean ALL (I'm speaking of nearly 20) have and/or experience the following now as compared to my previous setup: 1. Max bars/max signal-strength present 2. ZERO signal drops 3. Increased wireless download/upload speeds 4. More fluid wireless gaming; i.e. consoles & laptops I would definitely recommend this extender and especially with using with the NG XR500, even though it's powerful in it's own right... Extended range and consistent signal is what it's all about!

I purchased this WiFi Extender because our house is a long ranch style home part of the house farthest away from my router had very low signal strength causing buffering when watching things online such as YouTube, and even delays in accessing web pages at times. Some of the reviews for this product mentioned having connecting issues with the Nighthawk and their XFINITY routers so I was half dreading to start the installation process because with my old extender the installation was tedious and I ended up having to call the Extender's tech support, and anyone that has had to do this knows how horrible that experience can be! The Nighthawk hooked up to my XFINITY router like a dream and I had it up and running in less than 10 minutes! Now the signal at the end of my house is strong and I can even get a good signal outside on my deck! :-) Awesome product, and super easy to hook up! Nice Job NETGEAR! Highly recommended if you need a signal boost in your house!

Our cable company installed the modem/router by my computer in the Southwest corner of the house. My wife and I both have large tablets, which we use almost exclusively in the East end of the house where the Wi-Fi signal isn't as strong. We find the signal can get especially weak in our Family Room in the northeast part of the house, where we spend a significant amount of time because that's where our largest TV is. The signal would get so weak there that it would sometimes drop out completely. I decided to try a Wi-Fi signal extender, figuring if it didn't work I'd just return it. I checked the reviews on several units and decided on this one, rather than a smaller, cheaper one with less compelling reviews. As soon as I got it set up, it brought a really big smile to my face. The signal in our Family Room is now as strong as if I was standing right in front of the modem/router by my computer. I'm very impressed - and very happy with this purchase. I just wish I'd done it sooner.

This product is very easy to connect to an existing network. It extends the signal to a working 10K square foot complex. Best practice is to give it a different name and password if other devices are being used on the same network.

For the price it should be better. Its signal isn't long, but longer than the others i bought. The thing hates my phone and will decide to operate at less than 100m often. If i switch between 2 and 5g signal it will jumo back up to above 1g but quickly goes back. It freezes and lags and locks me out of admin frequently. Basically has operated poorly after about 6months of having it. Cool thing tho, the company consistently emails me, daily, to show me what i can buy. I did buy an extender, that help but was another 180.00 to get it to reach about 40-50 feet.

This extender works wonders, especially after latest firmware upgrade.

My Netgear range extender is fantastic! I have it for a few months, and it has incredible coverage compared to others I have had previously. Range covers entire condo plus outside on my patio! Easy to set up and looks great! I have recommended to my 2 sons to use in their homes!

I bought this device because the Wi-Fi in my basement had a poor signal. This was very easy to hook up and since doing so I have had great Wi-Fi through the whole house. My house is 2100 square feet two levels and a basement.

Great product. Have had a hard time getting wifi in the back part of our home for cameras and music, but with this extender i have had zero issues. Strongly recommend.

I've had this extended for a month and it works great. My setup has a wifi router in the basement of a 2 story house ( in the far corner) and the wifi signal was too weak to get to the upstairs. With this guy, I am getting range extended for 5g throughout the house as well as most of my backyard.

nice control panel on your computer for setup and adjustment. easy guest network setup and control. really like the usb's for network drives (max 4tb each) for whole house backup and larger network storage issues. not sure how great the coverage area is. really like to find a router that get "it" out there. if you have a big house/big property you might be a little disappointed

I was using the ISP provided router and this router pays for itself in less than 10 months. Wish I would have upgraded to this a year ago. It's better, faster and saves money. Super easy setup as well. I highly recomend this

The equipment works super, has excellent speed, but I do not know why NETGEAR almost always disconnects wireless devices when they are not in use, and sometimes even if they are using. Reason why I do not give the four stars.

Picks up remote router easily. Fast set up. All my wireless devices work great with our 50mb service.

We have a lot of brick walls and this seems to work even in those rooms.

I needed a "range Extender" to get better Wi-Fi coverage all over my house. This unit really did the trick will the added bonus of creating 3, separate Wi-Fi networks! Now I can connect my computers to the 5G network, and my phones, iPads & smaller devices to the 2.4G network. It works great and I feel like I'm finally living in the 21st century!

I purchased many range extenders to make it work in my 3 level home. Fios Router has to be in the basement as the house is smart wired and the hub is down there and cant get good WiFi signal on top level. Was able to use this as an access point from the mid level Cat5e outlet. WiFi is great through out the house with NO speed loss. Also uses the remaining ports to wired my entertaining devices to get maximum speed. Recommend highly.
