Works great for having smart tv and game consumes sucking up the Wi-Fi, no longer have cords running everywhere to hardwire everything.

It gives you the ability to limit Internet access for kids. Connect them to this one and can simply cut it off while being connected to home Internet.

At the end of the day this serves my needs of extending the range of my AC1900 Nighthawk router/modem, but not after countless hours of fiddling. I purchased this WiFi mesh extender to solve signal issues at the end of a long ranch style house. I was not getting enough signal at the end of the house where my office is located and I was not able to relocate the router to a more central location. Out of the box the extender did not connect to the internet with my PC. I needed to perform an overly complex firmware update to achieve connection. However, once I was connected to the internet another unfixable issue arose. I set up the extender to use a common password with the router. This caused issues with a number of PCs and Macs in the house It seemed they were confused about whether to connect to the extender or the router. Ultimately when FAQs, forums and tech support failed to solve the issue I disabled the common password and log into each the extender and router separately as needed depending on my location in the house. I still have to do a power cycle reset two or three times a week to get reconnected to the internet. Overall, when it works it is fine, but I wouldn’t recommend this and if COVID-19 wasn’t an issue I’d gladly return this and buy a cheaper, lesser brand online. Very disappointed with this purchase and that rarely happens.

I'm not sure I really needed this because my Netgear Nighthawk router seems to be very powerful. However I wanted to have a strong signal out into my garden and this provides it. The dead Spot Terminator that came with the router doesn't work, so I picked up the extender. I didn't want to waste time configuring the extender, and didn't have to. Plug and play, basically.

It was easy to set up and working great. I still have some dead spots in my 2500 sqft home, but it extended my WiFi for sure. I have 3 level townhome and it doesn't reach the some part of the top level. Wish it was more powerful.

I was losing connection on the first floor of my house because my router was at the end of the house on the second floor. Purchased this extender and placed at the opposite end of the second floor next to the stairwell, this solved the dropped connection issue throughout the entire first floor

This definitely boosted my signal but when I ran a speed test before and after the speed was slower than before. It did help the speed be more predictable for the most part but lost about 50-90 mbps

I live in an 1800 square feet ranch home. Recently, I installed a new dual-band wi-fi adapter in my PC to see if this would increase my network connection speed and stability. Although it doubled my connection speed, the speed fluctuated so much that web browsing was still difficult! I noticed that when I use my laptop near my DSL modem/wireless router, that it has a fast and stable connection. So I purchased a Netgear Nighthawk wi-fi extender to see if it will solve my network problems. I configured the Nighthawk as a range-extender with the same network name as my existing network. I have it positioned near the open door of the same room where my PC is located. The Nighthawk firmware is smart enough to automatically connect to the fastest channel that a device supports. The wireless router in my DSL modem is connected to the 2.5GHz channel and my PC is connected to the 5GHz channel. Now the wi-fi adapter in my PC runs at 866Mbps and it's fun for me to get online! This was an easy upgrade with dramatic results!

We decided to go with this range extender based on reviews we read on various retailers websites. The setup was effortless and it provides an excellent signal in the 2000 square foot single level home we installed it in. The original router struggled with walls past 30 feet and this did the trick. Streaming works quickly and doesn't require rebuffing.
