I had an older Nighthawk router and I was looking at an extender when I saw the mesh system in Best Buy. For the same price was the extender, I was able to purchase this router and satellite. Setup was simple and fast with the Nighthawk app. WiFi speeds are fast and the connectivity is seamless. My home is around 2500 sq ft and this system has been perfect! Zero problems.

Ive been a netgear faithful since I was in high school. My latest router purchased in 2018 took a poop. Outside of the increase in performance over the years of wifi evolving in general, the netgears software stayed lack luster for years making it easily out classed by competitors. I'm happy to say the software and features are greatly improved. The mobile app is nice too. Only thing missing STILL is setting internet access schedules and content restrictions target certain devices. These setting appear to be system wide :/ Maybe in the next firmware update

This replaced an old b/g/n setup that had multiple routers with multiple logins. I can't believe how fast this new AX standard is, even through drywall and wood floors. I still need another satellite for my cement block garage when they become available but so far, I really like this wifi system. Was really easy to set up with a new cable router too.

Great product, easy to set up and gives me the added range and security I was looking for. I would definitely recommend this product

Easy to use easy to install easy to set up very basic and straightforward instructions could not mess up even if you wanted to the app and the device pair very fast and the speeds are incredible both wired and wirelessly. Currently have about 20 devices connected both wired and wirelessly and none of them struggle

I bought one of these WI-FI mesh packs and it was a horrible experience. I spent 5 hours trying to get it setup and was unsuccessful. I am a systems admin/network admin so I am well versed in setting up wireless. I emailed support and they said to downgrade the firmware and to turn this and that off and I didn't even attempt it. I returned it and got another one thinking maybe I just got a bad device. I setup the replacement device this morning but only difference was I didn't update the firmware like I did on the last one. So far so good with this one. I wouldn't recommend updating the firmware when you first get it if you can keep from it. The app on initial setup will automatically try to go get the new firmware. Mine gave an error on the firmware update thankfully and I was able to skip it. I have Xfinity 1GB internet service and so far on speed tests I am getting upwards of 800mbps when doing speed tests. I am using an iPhone 11 Pro Max for testing though and it has WI-FI 6 capability. On my iPad and other wireless devices I am getting between 500-600mbps speeds. On previous Linksys Velop system I was getting 100-200mbps so a huge improvement.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The app is a little annoying and frequent notices to upgrade. Otherwise it’s awesome.

There is a bizarre problem with the system. When you move a mobile device around within your house and it switches from the base unit to the secondary unit, the device connectivity slows down and sometimes even loses its connection to the Internet which is obviously not a good thing. It’s not a major problem for me but it could be for you.

We love the extended reach of wifi in our home. With installation help from BestBuy Geek Squad and our local internet provider, we were able to increase our wifi speed to all of our devices. Combined with our Nighthawk Modem we are blazing fast.

NETGEAR touts the ease of set up, and this was a huge disappointment. The app gave me multiple error messages- incorrect password, router not found, etc. I used a paper clip to reset and updating the firmware didn’t solve the problems. I finally called customer service which was great. I had to go in and manually change quite a few settings. The system seems to work well throughout my house with brick walls. I remain disappointed that setup was a three hour process.

Bought these to replace a Linksys Velop tri-band mesh system that has gone down hill since Linksys has updated their firmware that has caused connectivity issues with wireless devices that operate on only 2.4GHz. For me this included ecobee thermostat and Lifx smart lights. Went to this system since it was WiFi 6 and know that this is going to be the norm in the foreseeable future. This system has more issues keeping my devices continually connected than the Linksys. After two weeks, I had to reboot the NetGear Nighthawk system every other day to get devices reconnected to the network. Certain devices that I count on would just lose access to the internet. The device said it was connected to WiFi and the Netgear system said that the device was connect to it but could not get to the internet. Rebooting the system would fix it for some time. Usually a day. The other issue with the Netgear is that rebooting the router would not allow devices to re-connect to the internet. I would have to reboot the router and then reboot each individual device, sometimes more than once to regain connection. Would not recommend them at this time. I am hoping that this too is a firmware issue and will get corrected in time. Right now between the two system the Linksys Velop is performing better, but not like in the days of old when routers just seemed to work with little to no issue.

Purchased to replace an aging Linksys router for a family member's recent remodel. Installed within minutes, very little requisite setup. Once installed, up and running with signal covering both the house and surrounding property beyond our expectations. Highly recommended.

The MK62 fully delivered on the claim to provide robust coverage throughout my home. Basement coverage was very poor before and now is running at full speed. Like the new design, no floppy antennas and small, unobtrusive cubes. Setup was a breeze with the Nighthawk app.

...the set up and installation of our Nighthawk Mesh 6 system was great. However, in about the second week of use the password became corrupted or not applicable. But, the live technician that guided me in resetting the password and restoring my internet was AWESOME! He was professional, knowledgeable about the device and very culturally sensitive. Overall summary, I am quite pleased with this product.

Throughput on satellite is average. Satellite works on 5GHz and sends a strong signal and most devices get hooked onto it, because of which most devices compete for bandwidth on satellite leaving the main router free. Throughput on satellite goes down exponentially as it goes farther from the main router. If you need coverage over larger area, it's better to go for Orbi, because of tri-band.

Set up app is not user friendly. I’m tech savvy and it was janky. Initial set up took two hours due to the bugs, starts, stops, and crashes; it was like I became Dominic Toretto. Day one usage was moderate. Near the router, 600mbps on gigabit. Plugged into the satellite, my daughter was happy. Upstairs? One floor up? Nothing. Less than 1mbps. Turned off beam since both router and satellite wouldn’t be utilized that way, thinking that was the issue and found out the satellite disconnected from the router that’s less than 10 yards away. How do you fix this? Have to use the app. Janky, Janky, Janky, lather, rinse, repeat initial set up until the Networking Gods saw me, pity in their eyes, and just gave me a win. Its working now, but for how long?

Performance was excellent for 1.5 weeks. Loved the simple set up, strong signal throughout my 3,077 sqft home, and user friendly app. Then, my speeds plummeted from 400+mbps throughout my house, to between 0.5-6mbps while sitting 2ft from the router. Multiple soft resets, and one hard reset to factory defaults did nothing. Speeds remained perfect at the modem. Plugged back in my 4 year old NightHawk and got all my speed back. No setting that I could adjust fixed the problem. Unfortunately, Best Buy would only take it back within 15 days, and I was at day 18 by the time I’d have enough of the troubleshooting, and decided to bring it back. Maybe mine was a fluke, but I flushed that $200 down the toilet.

Works great at expanding the network across our 2,900 sq. ft. home. I get full speeds nearly all parts of the home now versus just using a router and a mesh extender. I also like the form factor, small and compact, and a light weight.

Had equipment from cable provider & kept cutting out & disconnecting. Ever since I've purchased this mesh, haven't looked back. Covers 3000sq ft. Consistent speed throughout home. Great for streaming, gaming, or just browsing.

This is a great product for a household with multiple devices connected to WiFi, there was only two issues that I have had with these. The first being that with my previous nighthawk product I had the ability to pick and chose which devices connected to the 2.4 connection or the 5G connection, this product picks and chooses which connect to the 2.4g or 5g which is slightly frustrating. The second issue I had was that my fathers computer ( even after doing all of the driver updates ) would not recognize this internet connection so I had to put one of the satellites in his room and direct connect it, which I didn’t plan on doing but it’s not a huge issue. Overall, this product is great considering I have 3 desktops, 3 laptops, 2 PlayStation’s, 6 cellphones, a robotic vacuum, 2 printers, 1 scanner, 4 Alexa devices, 3 additional smart plugs and 4 smart light bulbs all connected without dropping connection in addition to faster connection that previously. Likewise, in the event I have a slower connection I have the ability to press a button and disconnect connection to any of the devices I have connected at any time and reconnect them at anytime with ease. Great product and would highly recommend.
