This Netgear Nighthawk rs700s router is incredible. You can connected to 200 devices to this router I think my previous one was maybe 40 without having any issues. I had bought a new HP omen gaming computer so I upgraded to my modem and router.
Netgear modem cm2000 and the Netgear router rs700s is a great combination.

Great out of the box, easy to follow instructions to set up with the Nighthawk app. Super fast speed, and reportedly will eventually support linking two of these towers together to create a mesh system. Great speeds, great value for the price.

This router blows away the Mesh WIFI6 which I have been using since it came on the market. My speeds are consistently 1100 to 1400 mbps.
I would highly recommend making the upgrade to WIFI7.

This router takes the game to the next level with its impressive design and features. To start off, the looks are great with NO antenna which is a huge plus and enhances the looks of my room decor. It doesn't look out of place like old-fashioned routers.
Setting up this is extremely easy, user-friendly, and quick. All it needs to plug in the power adapter and use the provided ethernet cable to connect with the modem. To start, I installed the Netgear Nighthawk app on my iPhone. Then, switch off the internet/WiFi connection and turn the power on of the router. I then connected to the Nighthawk app and followed the instructions on the device to get started. The router performs certain checks and gets connected within a few minutes. The process is relatively simple and can be performed without even looking at the provided instructions.
The Nighthawk app is very interactive and can be used to manage the Device, Security, Internet Speed, Parental Controls, WiFi settings, Guest WiFi, and Traffic meter and even lets me connect to the support team.
There are many features available on the app that help me to take care of most of my jobs easily and I do not need to even walk up to the device.
Coming on to the features, the list is long and impressive.
First, its coverage is definitely a level up. No matter where I put it in the house, I have signals all over, and not just that signal strength is really impressive. The product advertises for large homes and mine is over 3500 sq ft and yet I have coverage everywhere even when it is not placed in the central location of the home.
This really has low latency due to the 6.0 GHz frequency band that helps to get near real-time responses. The superfast WiFi lets the entire family enjoy video streaming in 4K, video calls, and an amazing VR experience all at the same time. I have loads of devices that need WiFi signals like smart TV, multiple laptops, tablets, a number of phones, speakers, Alexa, Google Home cameras, a doorbell, a doorlock, thermostats, what not. All of these work at the same time without any issues.
The Tri-band technology is a great feature to have and allows you to have a separate band for the guests and the third one can be potentially used for gaming for which you need uninterrupted connection. I really liked this feature as I did not need to share my original WiFi password with the guests anymore.
This router is designed for ultrafast wired connections that are powered by Broadcom's BCM6726/3 Wi-Fi 7 chips which is the prime reason to have such enhanced performance for all the devices simultaneously.
Not to forget Netgear's Armor feature is a free subscription for 1 year that provides a shield from hackers to provide real-time protection. I may end up extending this further as I truly see the advantages of staying safe.

THE Router to Speed Up Your Life!!

I am a very long-time fan of NETGEAR products, so when I saw this new WIFI 7 NETGEAR - Nighthawk BE19000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router, I excitedly knew it would be top of the line and cutting edge. I was correct.
When this beautifully designed and built monster of a router arrived, I couldn't wait to set it up. My townhome is 3 stories with a total of 2100 sqft, the BE19000 is rated to 3500 sqft. I recently have been using a Wi-Fi 6e mesh router system to cover these three floors; now, I wanted to see if the BE19000 could adequately cover all three floors with UHD tv's, desktop computers and laptops without the mesh setup.
After the removal of my previous router system, the resetting of my NETGEAR Nighthawk DOCSIS 3.1 modem and download to my phone of the NETGEAR Nighthawk application, I walked through the online setup with ease. I then reset the SSID and password to what my old system had, so that all my devices would automatically link to the new Nighthawk BE19000 without having to change them all. Then I ran the Internet speed test included in the Nighthawk application.
I was astounded. The speed test showed 943 Mbps download! This is almost double what I previous got with my not so old mesh router system and just under the full speed from my Internet Service Provider plan.
The Nighthawk is located on the 3rd Floor, so I ran down to the 1st floor and turned on our 4K Ultra High Definition television and watched as it streamed HD content as smooth as silk. My husband was on the 2nd floor playing HD Multiplayer games on the laptop with no lag time.
Internet providers say that with a speed 940 Mbps, you can run 10 devices at full tilt with no problem. My family really doesn't need that, but it is nice to have blink of the eye large downloads and the NETGEAR - Nighthawk BE19000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router provides the means gloriously!
I would highly suggest this fantastic router to my friends and family!!

The best router I have ever owned

This is my first Wi-Fi 7 router and I was fairly excited to test it out. For reference, I am upgrading from a Wi-Fi 6 mesh system.
The package includes the router itself, a power adapter, a 2 meter ethernet cable and quick start guide. I absolutely love the form factor and look of this router. I prefer the cylindrical form factor as it takes up less desktop space.
The Nighthawk BE19000 is packed with great hardware features. It comes with Broadcom’s BCM6726/3 Wi-Fi 7 SoC that contains a quad-core 2.6 GHz processor (although the web interface only shows 3 CPUs) along with 2 GB of RAM and 512 MB of NAND flash storage. It also contains the following ports.
One 10 Gbps Ethernet WAN port. You can also aggregate this port with one of the four 1 Gbps Ethernet ports to implement a multi-gig (1 Gbps + 1 Gbps) WAN connection. Some cable modems support this configuration.
One 10 Gbps Ethernet LAN port
Four 1 Gbps Ethernet LAN ports (you can aggregate 2 of them to achieve greater 2 Gbps speeds for supported devices like a NAS)
One USB 3.0 port to connect to a storage device
The Nighthawk BE19000 pretty much checks all the boxes for the features I want to have in a new router.
Setup was very easy using a smartphone. For Android users, you need to download the Nighthawk app. The router starts off as a Wi-Fi access point and you use your phone to connect to it. The only minor hitch I encountered was that I had to temporarily disable mobile data before my phone could connect to the router. Other routers I’ve owned use Bluetooth for setup.
The router also offers a web interface for setup and you would actually need to use this if you want to do more advanced configuration as the Nighthawk app doesn’t provide the ability (as far as I can tell) to do stuff such as address reservation or setting up a DLNA Media server.
The web interface looks extremely powerful and seems to offer the ability to configure the router with most of the advanced settings most users would expect. I love the ability to use either the Nighthawk app for basic configuration and status or the more advanced web interface for more advanced configuration and status information.
In my week of using the Nighthawk BE19000, I have found it to be extremely compatible with all my wireless devices. I have a ton of wireless devices (multiple laptops, tablets, Roku TV, nVidia Shield, Apple TV, Fire TV, Harmony Remote, Honeywell Thermostat , Blink cameras, Alexa smart speakers, Google Home Assistants etc.) in my home and I have not had any problems with any of them. The signal strength and range has been excellent and I have experienced great coverage over my 3 level townhouse.
While the range and signal strength has been great, I have noticed that some of my devices are connecting at slower link speeds compared to my old mesh router.
The achieved link speed is dependent on the wireless chipsets being used in your devices and some routers prefer some chipsets over others but in actual usage (video streaming, surfing the web etc.) I didn’t notice any problems with any of my devices that connected with a slower link speed.
However, many of my newer devices are connecting at extremely high link speeds. For example, my ASUS Zenbook with an Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 wireless adapter connects at the fastest link speed I have ever experienced at 1729/1729 (Mbps) or higher.
I connected a small portable PNY SSD to the USB port on the router and transferred some files to my laptop and saw an astonishing 154 MB/s transfer rate. This translates to 1.2 Gbps. For the first time in my life, I have achieved faster wireless transfer speeds than 1 Gbps wired Ethernet.
I am also getting 944 Mbps down and 24.75 Mbps up which is the fastest speed results I have ever experienced from my Xfinity internet.
I am extremely happy with the speed and stability of the connection to all my devices. Not only has the connection been rock solid but I have noticed other improvements.
I have noticed that my Logitech Harmony remote seems more responsive. With my previous mesh router, I sometimes notice some lag in my remote button presses. I have not noticed this problem since upgrading to the Nighthawk BE19000.
Wi-Fi 7 is still an evolving standard and I heard that future firmware upgrades will enable more of its features and benefits.
I can give the Nighthawk BE19000 router my highest recommendation for anyone looking for a rock solid, super fast and reliable router with a fantastic feature set that should be future proof for many years to come.

Worked great for 2 months. Cut off in middle of a download. No lights will come on, just keeps clicking. Tried unplugging for 30 seconds and 1 minute, held reset button, and everything else internet suggested. Still just clicking with no lights when plugged back up. Conveniently it died 8 days after my return period

Hi Hoggy,
Thank you for your review and valuable feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are having a difficult experience with your RS700S turning on. If your Netgear RS700S router isn't turning on, the first step is to check if it's properly plugged in and try a power cycle by unplugging the power cord for at least 30 seconds, then plugging it back in; if that doesn't work, you might need to check the power adapter itself, the outlet it's plugged into, or even try using a different power cord to see if the issue lies with the cable itself.
We would like to follow up with you and look further into the issue you are having with your RS700S. Please email us your contact information and a copy of your review to [email protected], and we will be happy to help you.

Simply put, “This Nighthawk BE19000 is 5 stars, for REAL!” I explain why below but that is the long story, short.
I wanted this router because I own a business that I run from home and I have a pretty decent amount of wireless devices to include computers, gaming systems, laptop, tablets, cell phones, Smart TVs, Fire Cubes, Maintenance and Repair System “tablets, as well as my smart home devices like a Thermostat, All the Light Switches, Outlets, Outlets Smart plugs, Smart Power Strips, Outdoor Security Light/Camera Combos, My Local Security Cameras, Security System with Cellular Backup and a couple outdoor camera/light web based security cameras. I also have the technical security concerns that all businesses have to protect my systems, my information and my Client’s information! I only disclose all of that because I had been having issues with not getting notifications from these systems in a timely manner, having a lag/delay between real time and viewing on security systems not matter which one I was viewing and having plugs, switches and outlets “not responding” and dealing with buffering and loading circles on different video streaming setups, security cameras and mobile devices. I even have had multiple issues with my XBOX communication to my computer and tablet to be able to game on the device instead of the XBOX and TV. I have dealt with all of that since the install date of each device and thought that “it’s just the way it is, I guess.” Recently it has become very annoying because I NEED to access my security feeds when I WANT TO and not when the network feels like connecting me and all of the other issues have just become really annoying and I thought "maybe it is my router." I have been using the supplied cellular router from the big name cellular provider and it worked well enough…just with those “issues” above. Being that I live rural I don’t have another option for internet and sometimes my speeds are not what people in “the city” get and I figured that was also probably part of the issues. Basically, I thought my issues were because I am semi-rural, on cellular home internet and not getting "top speeds." THEN ENTER THE NETGEAR BE19000 RS 700 WIFI 7 TRIBAND ROUTER!!!! That is all caps for a reason! Boy was I WRONG! This router, using the same speeds my provider can get to me, has CHANGED EVERYTHING AROUND HERE! Everything now WORKS PERFECTLY, Doesn’t stutter, chatter or lag, doesn't struggle to connect, doesn’t drop off or become non-responsive and video feeds have gotten very, Very close to real time when viewing! Everything stays connected and even Alexa and Hey Google respond WAY faster to me than previously before installing this router. Nothing else has changed, same internet service provider, same speeds, same rural location, same signal, same upload and download numbers everything is the SAME, except that I ran an Ethernet Cable out from my Original Router to supply the internet into the NETGEAR Nighthawk BE19000 RS700. I have no more latency issues or plugs, outlets or smart devices that stop working or stop being found by voice control services and my security cameras both local and cloud are working much better than ever before. I get notifications VERY quickly when an event triggers the cameras and I can load up the live view WAY faster than before. This router is AWESOME! I get the notification and am able to connect and chat with UPS before he has got back to his truck and is gone now!!!
The router comes with an awesome app to help get it set up, customized and also to monitor it and the year of included internet security software it comes with. The app is very well designed and you can even remotely disconnect a device from your network even if you are not home. So if little Jimmy is grounded...Off goes the connection to his tv, game consoles, tablet and phone. The premium edition allows more parental controls of which I did not purchase so I cannot comment on. It also gives you access to "Bitfender Security" which is a local security suit that runs on individual devices. The app also automatically scans devices that get connected to the network and tells you about issues it has found and detects threats found or threats that have attempted to be sent to them and quarantines them. The app allows you to easily control guest access, update your network passwords, and makes suggestions to increase your security. The app can test your connection speeds and everything is controlled and changed, updated all from one app. It really is a nice app and software suit that is simple and easy to use even for people without a big tech background. I do wish the software was part of the router and not a separate purchase (after a year), especially considering the price of this router. In my opinion, it should be part of the router purchase and not be a separate payment that you have to make again a year after you install the router. It would be a much more desirable item if that was the case. I am not a big fan of slightly mandatory future payments in order to keep access to features advertised on the box functional. That issue aside, the software is REALLY nice and has already caught several malware attacks that my computers' security software didn’t even flag, nevermind, quarantine or notify me about! I feel much more secure with using the Nighthawk Security Features both personally and also with my Business and Client Information! Also the software can notify you of events like that even if you are not on the network and are somewhere else like grocery shopping or working. You get a notification that says the software has blocked “so and so” and has maintained your internet's security. This is a nice feature if you have a small business or have several family members on the router. The software is very good, I do have to give it that. It was a breeze to customize the router, get it set up and get everything swapped over to it. It was harder to change the settings on my original router than it was to completely set this one up and connect it to everything…that’s no lie. WIRI RANGE has been expanded also!!! I have a great WIFI Signal ALL OVER my property now and I have to drive way farther away from the house for my cell phone to switch to cellular than before installing the router. Consequently, now my phone connects to my WIFI sooner when I am coming back home and all of my lights and routines run sooner and subsequently everything is up and running by the time I walk in the house, which is very nice! I can mow the entire property and be on WIFI listening to SMOOTH playback of music and podcasts without it dropping out in dead spots and looking for cellular and then switching back to WIFI when I get back in range while driving on the mower. When it does that the playback gets interrupted and I often experienced “dead air” while the device was trying to find an internet connection to stream with. This no longer happens as it remains on WIFI the entire time except for one place VERY far from the house. So an added benefit was that my entire property is now covered with a STRONG USEABLE WIFI SIGNAL and that “upgrade” was included with the router!!! Love it!
There are SO MANY “tech” features on this that there is no doubt there is something integrated into this router for your needs. There are ways to match ports to double up speed and all sorts of network functions that go way over my head and I am very tech savvy. What I like the most about this, is that it does have all that stuff included incase I have a need for it down the road and that it is WIFI7 on a TRIBAND that they claim to be 2.4 times faster than WIFI 6 and while I have no way to actually test that I can tell you that my devices are now all playing nicely together on the same network and they work much much faster than without this router in the mix. So for the moment I am comfortably futureproofed for my personal and my business internet routing needs.
I honestly cannot say enough good about this router and knowing what I know now about all the problems it has solved, literally, just by plugging it in and putting a cable in the back of it, I would 10,000% purchase this with my own hard earned money because it is a time and irritation saver and it WORKS! It does what it promises to do and much much more and while it is a little pricey, it is worth it to me if I can get 5-8 years worth of work out of it….I still have NETGEAR routers that work perfectly that I got back in 2009 and 2011 so I have ZERO hesitation or restraint when it comes to recommending them to friends, family and to you! Trust me, If I didn’t like it I would say so and I would say so, bluntly! I like this router enough to lay down my cash for another one and use it in another location in a few months if we are able to expand the business and get a dedicated location for it to operate out of. Because trust me, THIS ONE IS STAYING HERE!
If you are having any of the issues with your smart home gear, security cameras, lagging gaming, lagging streaming etc. I highly recommend this router! I didn’t think this would fix everything and give me a stronger and farther reaching WIFI signal but it did all of that while protecting me from malware and it was super easy to install. Even people who are not tech savvy will be able to install this and get it working perfectly with ease! The app is great, the software is excellent and even though the device is large, it is worth every inch of shelf space for all of the benefits it offers. This one is a winner for sure and I cannot find anything bad to say about it. It also runs silently and doesn’t even get warm. I am very happy with this router and being WIFI7 and triband, with all the built in features, bells and whistles, I feel that I am future proofed for a good amount of time before I “need to upgrade” again. This one is worth it and works wonders! Highly recommended. I Genuinely and Sincerely Love This Router!

Prior to me getting the Netgear Nighthawk Wi-Fi 7 Tri-Band Router, I was leasing a router from my local cable company. Prior to that, I had a mesh wi-fi system that I had problems with for months. The child nodes would drop the connection to the parent node constantly and I got tired of resetting them all the time.
The problem with the cable company’s router was that it wasn’t very fast. It was supposed to be but wasn’t.
So, I was looking forward to seeing what the Nighthawk would bring to the table. My house is roughly 2400 square feet, with a basement and two floors of living space. I have over 30 devices that use the internet in some form or capacity.
Set up was a breeze. There’s a quick set up guide included. You download the Netgear Nighthawk app and follow the instructions. That’s it.
I didn’t even know that Wi-Fi 7 was a thing until I received this router.
The biggest pain is to set up all your devices up on the new network, but that would be the case with any new router.
The app is great. Easy to use. When you add each device to your network, the Nighthawk will scan the device to look to see if it’s “safe” using something called “Netgear Armor”. It’s already blocked several malware attempts on the network that I’ve never seen my previous routers do (or at least, I wasn’t notified). The Nighthawk will send you a push notification on your phone for each attack it blocks. It also comes with Bitdefender that you can add to compatible devices. I have not done that yet.
My speed improved immediately. I feel like I’m finally getting the speeds that I’m paying for.
Another nice thing is the amount of LAN ports on the router. My previous routers had one, maybe two if I was lucky. This unit has 4 ports, plus a 5th that is labeled “10G”.
You can set up a Guest Network for visitors to use on both the 2.4 and 5 gHz speeds (two total).
The unit is attractive to have on the shelf and does not take up much room.
I am, by far, the most impressed with this router out of the ones I’ve owned/used. It’s fantastic and, with the Wi-Fi 7 built in, I feel that it’s going to last quite a while before being obsolete. It’s worth the investment.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Router with Incredible Performance!
The Nighthawk BE19000 tri-band Wi-Fi router has been a game-changer for our home network. From the moment I unboxed it, the setup was a breeze—quick, simple, and hassle-free. The performance is nothing short of amazing: lightning-fast speeds, excellent coverage throughout the entire house, and no connectivity issues whatsoever. It just works flawlessly.
The Nighthawk app is fantastic—intuitive and easy to use, making adjustments and monitoring the network a breeze. I also had a couple of minor questions and reached out to tech support. They were outstanding—responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. They resolved everything quickly and left me impressed with their service.
Overall, this router is worth every penny. Whether you’re streaming, gaming, or running a smart home, it handles it all like a champ. Highly recommend the Nighthawk BE19000 if you’re looking for top-notch performance and ease of use!

This is a long term investment that I'm getting out ahead of now. I already have 10G ISP providers in my area (SF/Bay Area) and all of my cables are 6/6A (if you have CAT7 make sure your connectors - GG45, where all previous cables use the RJ45/8P8C - are correct as you may have some that aren't backwards compatible...worth mentioning before plunking down money on cables and your current cable - 6A especially - might be all you need).
Beyond that it is ensuring that each junction along the way to my PCs and Server/Workstation are updated. This is the part that really gets most folks as homes aren't ready for 10G speeds across the board. Those who are aware are the 1% who won't fall for the marketing and other ads thrown around making people think they are going to be seeing those speeds for nothing more than a modem/router and ISP giving them a good (temporarily, anyway) deal.
I mention this so that anyone looking at this (or other) 10G router is aware that there is A LOT more to getting those speeds than this one single purchase. i.e. it gets expensive - quick.
Now, with all that out of the way - my experience with the Nighthawk BE19000.
Right out of the box, it's very attractive. If you are a fan of understated and simple design, this is for you. No 18 antennas around the entirety of the perimeter, no flashy nonsense, just a device and some illuminated info on the front giving you the pertinent info - perfect in my book.
Setup is rather straight forward:
- install Netgear app on mobile device
- turn off wifi on mobile device
- power Nighthawk on
- use mobile data to connect to Nighthawk (steps are prompted via the previously installed Netgear app)
- power off and then on modem (power cycle)
- connect Nighthawk to modem
- app does some checks for cables and internet
- done
So that all sounds pretty straight forward, right? And I've done nothing but gush over this thing all review, right? So why the 4 stars?
Well, at no point in time does any of the documentation from NETGEAR mention anything about DNS settings. I followed all the steps in the NETGEAR walk-through multiple times and couldn't figure out why at the final step it wasn't connecting to the internet. Finally, I did another modem power cycle (which *is mentioned by Netgear) because apparently the first or second attempt didn't work. Because on the third when I went to connect to the Nighthawk on my phone to finish setup instead of telling me "connected to router but no internet access" it said "Private DNS server". I looked around Netgear's documentation and found nothing.
Finally had to search for it elsewhere and turn my phone's DNS settings to off or auto in order for it to finally complete setup. A simple fix, but something that I had to look elsewhere to get a solution.
What should've been a ~20 minute setup ended up taking nearly an hour simply because the Nighthawk was being really finicky with my modem's power cycling and/or the DNS settings on my phone - which they make zero mention of and should at least put a little asterisk in that section stating if you see this, check your phones DNS settings...it'd save people a lot of time. Especially those not technically savvy, not saying that I am, but I am familiar with enough to relatively quickly figure things out. So if this took me nearly an hour I'd be willing to bet someone *not* comfortable with such things would likely just take the thing back and continue using their old router.
All in all, awesome device that looks and functions amazing (so far). I streamed 4K to each TV and had zero buffering issues with ~60Mb/s files, something my previous router (a more than capable albeit ~5 year old WiFi 5 router) would start to have issues with, so I know the WiFi performance is improved. The app is straight forward and simple, giving access to everything while away from home or just in the other room.
Would be 5 stars if all bases were covered as far as troubleshooting goes, I don't know why but for some reason that is really bugging me. But, as it's my only "legit" complaint/gripe, don't let that deter you from giving it a go yourself...
Recommended if you are wanting to start working your way up to 10G speeds, can't go wrong with NETGEAR products...just make sure to have your search engines warmed up in case you run into any SNAFUs :)

We live in an apartment less then 1000 square feet and use Spectrum as our ISP. The spectrum router and modem were fine but wanted something that is future proof and also safer. This NETGEAR Nighthawk BE 19000 did not disappoint at all!
Some of the keys:
Set up was easy and awesome. I did not have to call spectrum it picked up right away once I unplugged the modem and plugged back in.
Checks every thing connected to it for vulnerabilities which gives peace of mind.
The app is intuitive and easy to figure out. Smart as well with naming or figuring out what is connected to it.
Plenty of Ethernet to plug in your gaming console or other product you prefer not on WiFi.
Design is slick, looks good and not overly big. It’s smaller than my Xbox series X which it is next to.
Speeds are great, noticed a small increase in upload and download but again it is affected by the modem and what your isp is giving you. At least now if I pay the ISP for more speed I have a router ready to handle it.
Very much impressed and should be my router for a very long time.

Wifi 7 awesomeness, my mesh system becomes useless

First thing first, this is a wifi 7 capable router. If you got a gigabit internet connection and ever wondering why you can’t pull that gigabit level of speed wirelessly from your fiber network, this is the answer. I setup the router properly and with my ISP I’m getting about 1000 MBPS for both download and upload, which practically is the max speed of my internet connection subscription tier. The theoretical max speed is 19000 MBPS. Not only about speed, wifi 7 maintains excellent low latency so this is good news for kids who like to play online games and can’t stand the lag.
Setting up the router is easy as all you need to do is to download the Nighthawk app to your phone. The instructions are clear and quite simple to follow. Wifi 7 is backward compatible and so far, I don’t really have compatibility problems.
I’m happy to note that signal strength for a medium size, two-story home is strong enough. I got a mesh system but so far don’t need to have it installed unless if I want very strong coverage of network up to where my detached garage is located. The wifi range is rated at 3500 square feet.
The Nighthawk app is very useful and it is excellent; however, it requires some paid subscription for its advanced features such as the smart parental control. The router comes with a free Netgear Armor subscription for a year, which also gives you free Bitdefender Security app installation for 8 devices. The Armor detects and blocks cyber threats including viruses and you can check the stats in the app. It would be great if all these services come standard and do not require subscription.
In case you want to connect a computer to the router directly, the router has spare LAN port for that purpose. This router has rendered my mesh system practically obsolete.

The Netgear Nighthawk BE19000 Tri-Band router is a huge improvement over earlier offerings and has greatly improved my WiFi experience.
The router has a unique tower form factor that I really like because it saves a lot of desk space, and the antennae are internal to the unit. It is quite attractive IMHO.
The router comes packaged well with clear getting started instructions. Like most things these days, setup is done via the Nighthawk app and setup was rather simple and straightforward. The app discovered the router quickly and from unpacking to connecting devices took about 5 minutes. It comes with a trial of the Armor security software. One of the "benefits" of this subscription based software is that it will scan the devices on the network and recommend security actions. Long story short, I got so tired of all the MANY notifications about various things that I completely turned off notifications for the app. Not a big deal though.
In the past I've had some issues with devices randomly dropping out momentarily, even devices that are close to my old router. After a week of use, I can confidently say that with the Nighthawk BE19000 those issues are gone. I have not had any drops.
At any given time I have 20+ devices connected to the network and it doesn't miss a beat.
Most importantly, I am now getting far faster internet speeds (not WiFi network speed) over a greater distance. My cable internet speed is usually around 350mbps download/40mbps upload but I would only see 100mbps/20mbps. I immediately noticed that my speeds with the Nighthawk router were more like 300mbps/40mbps so I'm now getting the full speed I pay for.
The WiFi network speed is also much greater as well. Pictured is a WiFi speed test (not internet speed) from about 15ft away from the router. On the 5Ghz band the link strength is -47 dBm, with a link speed of 500-855 Mbps. Speed tests of the WiFi network are now around 500Mbps! A huge improvement. I had no problems with the WiFi connection at 100ft away from the router.
Ethernet speeds are capable of 10,000Mbps (yes, 10,000) with the right equipment. All my Ethernet cables cap out at 1000 though.
