This item is way overpriced. It does give you the benefit of fast mobile internet but it is dependent on signal.

This hotspot is not unlocked! I have AT&T and purchased a sim card, just to be told by AT&T that it was not unlocked. I went to Best Buy and they said there was nothing that they could do. So if you have AT&T it WILL NOT WORK and is a complete waste of time!

Respectfully & kindfully; if to be understood accurately, this device is only compatible with T-Mobile's & AT&T's networks (makes no sense when the bandwidths are the same regardless the technology), & only reaching the nano bands within the 5G technologies.... I also read that it only produces only 2.5Gb/s (Gigabits persecond) on that 5G technology and contradicts by mentioning 3.5Gb/s, with only a 1Gb/s ethernet (WLAN) port....(questioning emoticon) Why, in any right mind is this anywhere nigh the same price as a smartphone/tablet, please....? Routers & modens are nowhere near this much.... even for specifically N securities!! Security systems are less than this for homes/buisnesses. Many of the phones BestBuy sells aren't this much.... The biggest aspects of this device are the restrictions & the price....

This hotspot is functionally identical to the MR6110, which is sold at full retail on AT&T for less than half the cost. The difference? The MR6150 doesn't have the neutered band reductions that are unethical to begin with. So yes, it will work much better on T-Mobile and Verizon. Oh wait, except Netgear doesn't have the guts to demand Verizon certify the device, so good luck activating it. They could go to the FCC and/or court and insist it gets certified, but they can't seem to get the nerve. Consumers lose, because they can't activate it properly on Verizon without tricks and hoop jumping. I cannot in good conscience hold onto one of these. Vote with your wallet.

Hi Deadpool,
Thank you for your review, we appreciate your valuable feedback and we want you to know that your experience is important to us. The AT&T MR6110 is optimized for AT&T’s network whereas the MR6150 is optimized for all major 5G networks in the US. MR6150 is certified with AT&T and T-Mobile and there are plans to have Verizon certification by the end of June’23 where users will be able to activate their Verizon SIM.
