I own another Netgear model that I've had about 4 years, and it has worked flawlessly. So I recommended this router to a friend who needed it for work from home during this current Covid-19 pandemic. This router was a big disappointment as it would lose the connection maybe 4 or so times per day knocking her off her work computer. I made numerous calls to Netgear technical support and they had me verify that this problem was happening every time somethjng of the internet was doing something that registered in the log as a disruption of service attack. Every time one of these happened it would cause the router to lose connection with the modem, and also made the router unavailable for devices to connect to via Wi-Fi for several minutes. It also made internet unavailable for wired devices like the work computer. These so called "DoS attacks" occured 3 or 4 times per day but should not have caused the router to shut down as it wasn't a true attack where the router was getting bombarded by disruption attempted. It was just one or two attempts at scanning this router that caused it to completely shut down. The Netgear tech support was unable to resolve this problem after numerous calls. So after 3 weeks of fighting this problem we returned it for a refund and began renting a router directly from the internet provider. Since using the providers router the signal to all devices has been flawless with no disruptions of internet service. These "DoS" attacks haven't been a problem for the rented router. It was just a problem for this Netgear router. This modem worked great when it would work, it had a strong signal around the house. But it was not worth keeping when we couldn't rely on it keeping us connected.

We were having issues connecting to WiFi. This solved the probem. I have recommended this to other family members

I had a Linksys gaming router for the last 4 years and I finally upgraded to this. It has been amazing so far. With old router I couldn't use more than 2 devices without major lag. Now the family and I can use smart phones, tablets, stream netflix, and play videogames all at once and have zero issues with lag/ Connectivity I think this is one of the best routers on the market and it can handle a large amount of devices and the range is great in a house ours is around 1700 sq ft.

Love this router so much, I've purchased it twice! I bought the older generation about 7 years ago and left it in my old house when I sold it. It gave me an excuse to purchase the updated one. Never had issues connecting my devices with this router. My household uses about 10-15 devices between cell phones, Smart TVs, gaming consoles and PCs.

The router is great. It works perfectly. The signal is strong and I haven't had any problems at all.

Netgear nighthawk increased the speed of my internet. It also doesn’t take up much room on my desk.
