I recently upgraded to this router and I absolutely love it. Super fast and was easy to install, I had no issues or problems. I totally recommend the NETGEAR - Nighthawk X4S Wireless-AC Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router.

Previously I always used Linksys/Cisco products, but knew a couple of people who was using Netgear and decided to try this device. Overall, it has performed well. I have a difficult room layout in a 2-story with this device not being centralized (along with a well insulated wall and duct work) which tends to reduce some coverage distance. I still do use a former extender device. User interface is a bit confusing at first, but after a couple of uses it is ok. It is a larger sized device if you don't realize it from pictures. There are some options that work better than on the Linksys I owned, but also some things that the configuration was done differently on, which wasn't obvious at first. But once figured out, it made sense.

Our family was lost, how to wade through all the choices in routers. Customer service man made the decision prosses easy. He took us step by step. Get the most wifi coverage for our home. Get the fastest speed. Get the best quality that was reasonably priced. The 4 antenna's on the router really give amazing speed even at a distance. I routinely do a speed test wifi on my computer and the speed has increased from barely 20 MB. per min to close to 50 MB. using 94.MB wifi service test in the same room as the router. My computer is about 100 foot from the router. If I use ethernet the speed is 94 MB. Our service provider tech. says that the service speed at 100 MB will be at 84 MB and was surprised ours was at 94 MB per min.

Easy to setup, range has increased by more than double compared to old 2 band router.What a major difference, now I have 5 bar coverage throughout my entire house and am finally experiencing high speed performance.

My roommate and I use this router to play console games simultaneously and it works great. No lag even using wifi. Works a lot better than the router the company gave us. I got wifi about 40 ft outside my apartment

We had upgraded our Internet speed and I needed a router to match the speed of what we had upgraded to. The Netgear Nighthawk did everything it said it would plus. Very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone.

Very pleased with this router. Upgraded from an older b/g/n router. Performed Internet and LAN speed tests on the old router prior to installing the Netgear R7800 and running the same speed tests after installing the Netgear, both the wireless and wired connections to the Internet and on my LAN increased. The router has been very stable and the wireless range covers inside the entire house and into the yard on both the 2.4ghz & 5ghz bands. Have 6 wired connections (using a 1GB switch connected to the router for additional ports) and 8 wireless connections (6 - 5ghz & 2 - 2.4ghz) connected which the router is easily handling the network traffic. The R7800 is connected to a Netgear CM600 cable modem to Time Warner (10/100) Internet service.

This is an amazing router. My old router would not let me go outside the house and have WiFi but this one it reaches out into my intire yard. It’s located in a basement and has great strength upstairs.

Works as expected. Adjunct to already existant Infinity router...Easy set up . Faster wifi with significantly longer reach up 2 floors and to the outside 60 feet...

I have have this for a month now and this is the best router i have had so far, set up is easy and very fast, multiple computers and tablets running all the time, also streaming to tv's with no issues at all.

Using the X4s in the center of a 3200 sqft house and covers it all wirelessly. No issues, been up for more than 45 days without missing a beat. Solid performer!

I love Netgear routers and I decided to upgrade to this one. It has handled all of our devices easily. We have about 10 devices connected to it at any given time and that includes my son gaming online. I thought about getting the x6, but was a bit pricey. I hope this router meets our needs for a few years.
