Ok range on this router. Both 2.4ghz and 5ghz reach all parts of a two story plaster walled house but not at full strength. where router is on the 2nd floor and is not in the center of that floor. The downloadable NetGear Genie app apparently does not play well at all with Windows 10 so I use the browser version which is fine. Typically we have 15 devices connected and have not had a throughput issue. Has a strong signal, good coverage and the excellent NetGear Genie browser app which make this a pretty good choice.

No more problems with the router being the choke point in my home network. Easy setup. Great improvement over previous routers provided by ISPs.

Thoughts after using for about a month: Set up Connecting to the internet was a little frustrating initially, but worked fine once we restarted our modem and retried. Configuration Lacks some options - for instance configuring what ip ranges you want to use. May be a deal breaker for some, most will not care. Size It's big but it's not ridiculous. Again, some will care but most will not. Heat Doesn't really get hot. More warm than hot I'd say. Restarting Our old router needed restarted almost daily. Since purchasing this about a month ago we have not had to restart it once. Signal Big improvement in 5ghz distance over our old router. Areas of the house that were dead spots with our old router now have signals strong enough to stream. Speed 5ghz Speed tests are at 200+ (which is what we pay for). Areas of the house that were unusable with old router are now getting 30-50. Simultaneous Streaming We have several streaming devices, computers, gaming consoles, wireless speakers, etc and we have no problems. Summary This device had some initial setup pains, but since then its been set and forget. Signal is strong, speeds are great - even when several people are streaming or playing online. This device shouldn't be obsolete anytime soon.

Bought this to replace a Netgear R7000 router. The R7800 is amazing and can handle numerous devices with no loss of connection speed

I purchased this router to replace an older one. I get serious coverage with it, even outside my home. It was super easy to set up.

This router was simply amazing and easy to setup as a access point, wifi extender, or standalone router. The speed and coverage was fantastic and I don't have any internet connection or buffering issues. I placed the router downstairs and I'm able to stream movies upstairs without any issues. You will notice the difference in internet speed immediately.

This was recommended to us, it was super easy set-up and works great. So much better and faster than our internet provider and I own it and saving money, instead of renting. Would recommend to everyone

After getting Verizon FiOS I needed to make sure I had a decent router. It has great range and wall pentration. It is a bit big so if you need something small I wouldn't pick this.

This is an amazing router. Plenty of speed to do anything you'd need. I have around 30 devices connected and it runs perfect.

I found this router to be simple to setup. I get great coverage throughout a two story house. The Genie is a bonus!

We had a lightning strike that took out our modem and router, and after evaluating our needs with one of the store guys, we decided to do a big upgrade and fork out the cash for this one. What a HUGE difference for our household in speed and strength. If you are streaming and have someone working from home and have a college student, and everyone has an iPhone, you need a beefy router. This is a great buy and worth the money to step up into this level of router.

To lengthen up that short summary, this router delivers. We have 120mbps down and 15mbps up in our house and this thing keeps that the case across LAN and WIFI. No longer have random drops in Internet and no signs of slowing down. If you are looking for performance, look no further.

Kept having dropped connection and replaced my old netgear with this one. Works great good speed and range

Setup was quick and painless, the coverage for my 1800sf home is great, the 5ghz signal covers the entire house (I have a good central location to setup my WiFi router, I know that isn't possible for everyone) the 2.4ghz signal extends out to my garage (detached) and driveway good enough. I am very happy!

the router is the best I have ever had. over the years I have had many. I did not know how this new one worked and was afraid of the price and operation. finally I broke down and went to Best Buy to check it out since my old one bit the dust after a power surge. I could not have believed the speed of the router. I have 5 computers, couple of pads, smart phones and latest was the interface from the computer to a new HVAC system. my wife loves it and so do I love it.

Replaced my five year old Nighthawk router. Setup was easy, seems to work as well if not a bit better than the old one. I always like Netgear products.

This router was easy to install myself and let me set up a guest portal with limits as well as streaming 5g portals and secure private family portals. Provides more features than I expected and improved WiFi connectivity, coverage, and security all in one package. Great purchase.
