The router was pretty easy to set up and really improved my wireless speed over what I had.

If range and speed are what you need this is it. This will make gaming a great experience.

Super fast speeds. I'm in a rural area and this router provides uniterrupted streaming.

This router replaced an aging one in my home. I now have much greater coverage and speeds. Streaming media used to get interrupted regularly but now flows smoothly. Laptops and phones stay connected and wireless speeds regular max out the available bandwidth. A great buy.

My previous router worked good but did not cover the house well. This unit was easy to setup and covers the whole house. I highly recommend.

We typically run 5 - 7 devices at once, from gaming, streaming movies to all being on social media. Since installing this router we have not had one problem, like buffering videos, slow dowloads or disconnecting one of the devices. A bit expensive, but worth it!

This modem was recommended by several friends after enduring my complaints of slow Internet service in a 2100 square-foot house. We only run 2 lap tops, two phones and a desk-top on our system and could NEVER get adequate signal strength. One this was up and running we are receiving the service tt we have been paying for... MUCH improved sign strength throughout the house.

Nice router. Fast speed. I’ve had to often recent other routers frequently but not this one. Pricy but seems worth it.

Finally decided to upgrade routers since spots in the house weren't getting good signal and the performance has been great. A little difficult to set up (helps to read the directions!) but has been working great and my wife is much happier with her signal strength. Only negative is the cost - still a higher price than I wanted to pay.

This router looks like something that should be flying around in a star wars movie! It's blazing fast and super reliable. It was super fast to configure and has been incredibly reliable. Spend the extra money for this, you won't regret it.

I utilize my network more than some small offices, I upgraded from the original Nighthawk and can say we have obvious improvements. Wireless is faster, stronger and more stable. I run video streams, a couple of Teens game in full 1080 resolution online along with multiple wireless streams across various devices in a 3200 sqft house. 99% coverage without additional devices in suburbia. I've been doing this a long time, switching routers about every 18 months. This router can hold it's own when compared to top end office routers. I'm very particular when it comes to network latency, this was a good purchase.

I have been using Netgear routers for several years and have had excellent luck with them. This one is doing a great job keeping my house and office running. It is connected to fibre network which provides great through put. I am also using one in a field temporary set up and it is doing a great job hooked through a ethernet 2 wifi device for the internet.

We got this because we have been on the providers router for far too long. Couldn't get signal to all parts of our house, but this fixed that immediately. Located it centrally in the house (where we tried the old router without success) and now signal is excellent everywhere. We have 8-10 devices that could be linking at a time and this seems to handle all of them with plenty of speed. I can now watch pretty much any video online without any buffering or other annoying pauses, and the kids can play their video games in the basement on the Xbox where the other router wouldn't even connect. I hesitated to spend the money for a good router, mostly because I am a miser, but am very happy I made this switch. Would absolutely recommend an upgrade if you're still using an old, or internet provider supplied router. Two thumbs way up!

We have had all sorts of issues in the past with the wifi reaching the whole house. Not even one blip since I installed this one. Easy to set up. Little bit of a big footprint, or I'd give it five stars. Looks alien on the shelf, but hey, it works like a champ. Can highly recommend this one if you have the space for it.

It was easy to install and added a lot of speed to our network

At the time that I purchased this router, I was in the process of converting my home to a smart home. Smart assistants in every room, lights, doorbells, the whole thing. At the time I was using an old Vizio router that I got when I became a "cord cutter." It did the job for the time being but when. I started streaming more and started my conversation the router completely died. Then I got this router and i feel that it is doing a great job with all my needs. Coverage is great and all my devices work without a hiccup. I try to keep my routers for about 3 years but this one is showing no signs of slowdown. When I do switch to mesh routers I will likely use this one as an extender cause why not.

I initially did a lot of research and read numerous reviews and went with the Asus-AC3100 and was surprised at the subpar results, I expected great things and it just didn't deliver. The Netgear Nighthawk X4S AC 2600 is the opposite, it is everything I wanted in a router, the range is good, the speed is excellent and all is working perfectly.

We have Time Warner (Now Spectrum) and the internet is the worst in the country. We have the "fastest" internet. I have family who lives out in the middle of nowhere who gets better internet service than we do. A neighbor recommended this and we are not disappointed. We have over 20 devices hooked up to this and the internet is never slow.

My past 2 routers have been Netgear and both were very reliable and delivered good performance for the speed range they were capable of. So getting another Netgear was a no brainer, but instead of getting a modest upgrade, I decided to spend the big bucks on this Nighthawk because it is more future proof than other router offerings today. As far as the performance goes, it is outstanding. Well above expectations in terms of speed. That being said, you will need a really fast internet to see what this thing can do. The only disappointment I have with this router is the range. There are areas in my home where the signal strength is not as strong as my old router. It is not by much, but still a disappointment considering that I spent more than twice as much money on this router than my last one. I'm not saying the range is bad. It does reach my whole home easily, and the speed is twice as fast. So the range is good, but not anything to really to really blow the competition away. Overall, I am very happy with my new router and would highly recommend.
