Works great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No problem connecting it myself. Followed instructions. Works great. I had an old router in my office that was slow. This router is much faster and provides much better coverage of my entire building. Also can connect more devices with no slowing of any connections.

Good router. High price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this router for the speed. I don't think it performs any better than my last net gear router a Model: R6300 v2. But I'm sure it will get better as new firmware comes out. The R6300 was the same way. Setup was easy for me and I love the guest account. You don't have to give friends your password to the router and you can turn the guest off and on as needed.

Great router for large home with many devices
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had tried many routers before this one. Had many problems with intermittent wifi signal drops and unreliable consistent performance. I have been using Netgear X6 8000 since last 2 months and have had no problems. We have about 15 devices connected to internet including iPad, nexus tablet, TVs, media streaming player and phones. And all works w/o any lag. Price is little steep however considering I got 20% discount, cannot complain about it.

Still in review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What I have experienced thus far is a very strong signal, but the range is not quite what I had expected. That was just as important to me since I want to reach my Sonos wireless speakers on the back deck. It seems that my Verizon router reaches further, but not as strong. Again, still researching.

Great router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous router had begun dropping connections, and it was time to get a new one. I did a fair amount of research on this router, and it scored very well in all of the ones I read. My own experience has mirrored what the reviewers found. Signal strength is quite good, and I've only restarted the router once in the month I've had it. Based on my experience so far, this is a good router to buy and I'd highly recommend it.

Easy to set up and provided the high speed needed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had tried other routers which were much more difficult to set up and did not provide the speed to match my modem so I didn't get the speed that I was paying for from my cable provider. The Netgear unit match the speed of my modem well worth the additional cost of the equipment. My grandchildren are big on line gaming enthusiast and found no fault with my system speed and availability. A small win for a grandparent.

Value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a bit wide and long more then tall but it gets the job done. Internet is smooth. The distance isnt the greatest but if you have a 3-4 bedroom home, there shouldnt be a problem. Easy and wonderful set up with the Night Hawk app.

Finally Can Connect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My house evidently has dead spots for wireless and it got to the point we were running cables to different systems (PS4, etc), but there was a computer upstairs in my office that would never connect - until this router. It was very easy to set up and had a password sticker that was actually words and numbers you could remember versus something hideous.

Excellent Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best wifi router that provides extra coverage throughout your home. I have 9 devices linked to this router and the performance is excellent. Before I purchased this router all my devices from my laptop to my phones kept losing the signal no matter where I was in the house. Now I can be down in the basement or sitting outside in my car and I will have a perfectly strong wifi signal. This is well worth the money.

Beast Mode
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nothing, but praise for this router. It's on the expensive side, but it easily powers 20+ devices in my house. Everything from tablets, cpu's, media players to game systems. My old Netgear ran these things too, but could not handle the additional load of smart devices. This router handles everything above and Amazon Echo, Hue bulbs, Belkin switches and Powerline adapters. This router is an absolute beast. 5 stars

Great wifi coverage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall great/awesome wifi coverage. The software interface is not great though. I had hoped to install dd-wrt (Open Router software) to replace the OEM software but the wireless driver is currently problematic for the dd-wrt build for this particular unit and I was not able to get what I needed. That aside which has nothing to do with Netgear, this wifi router works great. I have been able to remove all my repeaters from my previous setup.

Great Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I researched a lot before replacing my old Cisco Router for my office. We have between 20-40 devices on the network with light load but before it would crash all the time, now is running without issues. So far no issues with router. Easy to monitor the network and to setup.

Great router, great performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After much frustration with a Linksys EA6900 and the lack of remote administrative access when the LinksysSmartWifi server is down for maintenance, I bought this Netgear Nighthawk R8000 with directly accessible administration from anywhere. It performs very well and has an easy to use interface. I highly recommend this router.

Fast, Fast, Fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Switching was fast and easy. Almost plug and play, you do have to do some minor setup. Now my cable can not keep up with the router, used to be the other way around. Getting max speeds that the cable service to my house can handle.
