Hands down the best router in terms of speed, performance and range in the entire consumer market.

Bought this router and it has a wide variety of customizations, options to how you want the router to work. Ability to connect a server with 2 ethernet ports which equal 2 gbps. 2.4 band = 1 gbps, 2 (5) ghz = 2.165 gbps. Router is a tri-band, AC, supports VPN, mu-mimo, QoS, Smart Connect. Range is extremely good, I get signal from multiple levels away. LED lights can be turn off. Router needs space to cool down it gets hot !!! Router is great for; Gaming(PS4,Xbox1) and Streaming (netflix, hulu, etc) at the same time.

I had a decent router before this purchase but I was adding a lot of devices to my WiFi network and wanted to maintain what I had and it is doing its job. I don't notice a difference with adding multiple devices after the holidays.

Easy setup, fast connection and great wifi coverage. Unfortunately dies after 8 months so I took off one star. Fortunately Best Buy made the exchange fast and painless. No longer available so upgraded to the X10

Works great.between me and my wife. Couldn't figure why I was always buffering and waiting. don't have to wait anymore. It might be a little overkill for what you need but why not make getting your data faster and now I'm could handle anything in the future . One of the main reason for replacing my old system (wifi and modem) I added security cameras to my house Works fantastic now I don't have to worry about add on wifi products slowing down system.

We had a few issues to start with but after doing more research this thing is a beast! Love it and haven't had anymore issues after fixing some configs. We run 2 xboxes, iPad, 3 laptops, 2 desktop, direct tv and cell phones!

This is a fantastic router with outstanding range. I live in a 3200 sq ft house and have no problems with it reaching to any part of the house with less than full coverage.

Overpriced, as there are other cost friendly alternatives (TP-Link C5400) that have the same features and perform better. Setup is easy, connections were good for about 3-4 days before my kids would call to say I needed to reboot the router. Happened for the 3 weeks I had it multiple times. Speeds were good. Design is blah. Big footprint. Got very warm... Returned and got the C5400 and am happier

I have had the top end routers for some time. This is the best one yet the signal is much stonger to the point my next door neighbor uses my wifi. I can't even tell they are using it because there is just so much bandwith.

My previous top of the line linksys router occasionally leaves several dead spots on the second floor area of my house. The nighthawk x8 has not given me this problem and keeps my data speed the same though out the house.

My home typically has 15 + wireless devices competing for Internet and network bandwidth. Up-until I installed the Netgear Nighthawk my family regularly complained about slow network speeds and reconnecting errors. I tried several competitors routers over the last year and everyone left me and my family frustrated. This Netgear product effortlessly handles all of our wireless devices, without slowing down and since I installed it we have not experienced one "reconnecting screen of death". Installation was very simple and with almost no effort I was able to customize my network using the Netgear software.

This replaced my use of a power line wifi extender. Exceptional speeds on computers and apple products

This is the most I've spent on a router. But I have to say that I am very impressed. My browsing and gaming is so much smoother! Love it! Well worth the price, it's kind of like an investment, it's a future proof router!

This router has great range and stability. I haven't had to reset the router once. I have over 10 devices connected at once including constant streaming from children and I have not found any degradation in my speed.

Our home has had problems with our wi-fi for years. Decided to upgrade router. This router may be "overkill" but wanted the latest and greatest technology. Good reviews from the sales person. Our wifi has improved tremendously.

My Smart TVs are running awesome with this router. No more slow downs on my Apple TV, Netflix, Google Play, or Amazon Prime. I hooked this up to my XFinity router and have never looked back. No more slow downs!!!

My old router had to be rebooted at least once a day, usually more. This thing rocks! Plenty of reach. Also was able to set up wireless printing again with my old but still good printer thru the usb connection.

This is the best router I have used. The price is a little much as the average working person cannot afford it and my family thought I had lost my mind when I purchased it but now they are reaping the benefits.

First one failed the first week, was easily replaced through Best Buy. Second one is working perfectly for several months now. Easy to set up using the Netgear app. Has performed flawlessly with no reboots for several months now very happy. My old router needed rebooted daily. Seems to work well with multiple devices even old ones. I have a and n devices running at the same time with no problems. Had quite a few routers over the years this is definitely the best one yet.

The Best Router on the market. I will tell you that if you have a larger home you will still need an extender with this router, especially if you have thick walls. But the Speed of this router is phenomenal.
