Works good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used it to extend the range in my house. Having to log in to a different wifi is a little of an inconvenience but it performs adequately to give me decent coverage for a Roku that could not connect to my main router due to its location.

it works
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.it allowed us to connect online even though we are situated at the other end of the house away from the router. sometimes the connection slows down when there are multiple devices connected but I guess that is to be expected. i'm not sure which shortcoming it is but i wish that the bouncing of connectivity was done automatically (between original wireless router and this extender).

Never knew how much I would appreciate this!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got this Netgear wi-fi range extender specifically to be used along with the Ring video doorbell, and it is great to have for that purpose, but it is also nice to have a stronger signal in the areas of the house that used to be a little low!

Does what it is supposed to do
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was in Best Buy with the Geek Squad and mentioned that my wireless printer works off and on and shows only @ 72% wifi connectivity. Agent talked to us about range extenders & we decided on this relatively inexpensive one. Printer now works 100% of the time - all I had to do was plug it into the wall in room with laptop and printer, which are fairly far from modem and router.

Easy setup to extend your wifi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The NETGEAR wifi extender has been a great addition to our house. We have plaster walls and have a long home so our living room didn't get the wifi signal from the back of the house. The extender was easy to setup using the WPS button on this device and our current NETGEAR router. You do need a router to use the extender. I had one issue setting it up, but repeating the setup got it working. We now have wifi access throughout our home.

Finally wifi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had a wireless router but we could never get signal to the back of the house and we have a one story house that is about 2500 square feet. I bought this little device and plugged it in behind my front door console since our router is in the family room and no can see it but the signal is trong and finally I can use my laptop and smart tv in my bedroom, and my son can use his xbox

Works great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this WiFi extender to stretch my reception to my art studio which is located about 30 feet from the house. It performs exacted as it is supposed to and was ultra-easy to connect. Stays connected, no dropped signal. I don't notice any appreciable speed loss either. Cost was less than I had anticipated and comparable to other like units. I recommend this product highly.

Great Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This NETGEAR - Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender with Ethernet port was a breeze to setup, even the advanced functions. There wasn't a need to take a computer and reconfigure it to do the initial setup, right out of the box all I had to do was connect my laptop to it's temporary wifi ssd and reconfigure it from there using a simple step by step setup. I really like the fast lane technology where you can have it communicate on one band to your router and one band to your devices. Doing this increased my repeat speed by 300%. I highly recommend this product.

Works perfectly!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this product to extend the wifi range in my house to reach the back room. It works perfectly! I placed this extender 50 ft from the main modem/router and now my back room has a strong wifi signal. For me, initially I was debating whether I should get the fancy AC version, but for standard applications (email, browsing websites) this item is sufficient.

works well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.not sure about some of the poor reviews. I have this plugged into an outlet about 30 feet from my router which obviously is in another room and I pick up a strong signal another 30-40 feet away. Works great ... no complaints

Its pretty good for what it is
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to try and extend a commercial building's wi-fi into an out of reach office. Ended up not needing it and returned it. The extender did work pretty well though. Setup is easy but if you're not good with computers at all, i'd recommend finding someone to install it for you. My biggest concern when purchasing an extender is deciding if you honestly NEED an extender. You might be better off getting a stronger router instead of an extender. Also, this particular extender transmits at the slowest wi-fi speeds, so even if you have super fast internet this extender could end up slowing down any device connected to it. If you honestly need a wi-fi extender, i'd go for one with a faster speed.

Great Device that Works as Needed!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My in-laws moved from a big private house with few neighbours to a condo development with lots of close neighbours. The square footage is similar and the condo is actually tighter (2 stories versus a spread 1) but WI-FI was horrible in dead spots. This device solved the problem rteally well and now the whole house has strong coverage. EASY EASY EASY to set up.

Do not hesitate.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace one I bought from one of the big online retailers. After swapping multiple messages with tech support from the manufacturer, the original still did not work and was extremely complicated to sync to my network. I sent it back for refund. I told an associate at Best Buy what I wanted. He showed me 3 models but recommended this one, primarily because of the ease of syncing. I bought it knowing there is a decent return policy. The key to this extender, as explained by the associate, is not to put it in the same room as the device you want to connect. That would be extending an already bad connection. It works best in an area where it can get a strong signal and rebroadcast it to reach the target device. It is everything the associate said it was. I have not used the ethernet port, but strongly recommend this as a wifi extender.

his and hers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Husband: Best 50 bucks I ever spent. Thanks a lot, Netgear! Wife: This thing is ruining my marriage. We used to only have wi-fi in an area limited by our U-verse router that didn't even reach our bedroom. Now my husband can play his stupid zombie game on his phone via wi-fi ANYWHERE in the house, in the yard, and even at the neighbor's. Thanks a lot, Netgear.

It works and was easy to setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a way to get better coverage in our 2 story house and it works well. Cell phone wifi coverage is great up and down stairs, have not been connecting directly to the router anymore with notepad or cells. I reboot the router each morning to clear it out and helps up the speed, the extender reconnects automatically and have not had any issues so far.
