I found the performance to match the general consensus of the other reviews in that it drops to 2-3 Mbps after some time. After a reboot or restart the performance improves for a while. Try a more expensive product, you will get more.

When we plugged it into the hallway, a message came up on their media saying that the wifi was not set up close enough to the original router. this kind of defeated the whole purpose. We moved it a little closer and it seems to be working.

Does what it's supposed to

I followed the directions closely and had to repeat about 3 times before I was able to get the extender to work properly. Since then (about 2 weeks) no further issues.
