Cost effective, Runs hot, only 1 port in / out. Must input your own DSN server to work with Centurylink.

Great Modem for a DSL service. Was easy to get setup for use.

I saw other reviews saying they had issues with this working with Centurylink, but it worked perfectly for me. It was very simple to setup. The modem acquired the signal on its own and I was online. I added my own router and haven’t touched it since. Highly recommended product if you’re a Centurylink customer and have the same type of DSL service.

Great product and performance. Never have had issues with Netgear. Fast speeds with confermation at the box by my service provider. Love it so far and easy hook up. Even with bare min intelligence you can hook this up and go!

Was having issues with my modem/router that my internet provider gave me. My friend recommended this to me and I was very skeptical because I just thought dsl internet was slow and unreliable. After getting this and a router, I no longer have issues with my internet dropping and the internet seems to be faster than before as well.

The reviews were great. But this would not connect to my router. I believe it was the age of my router, not a problem with the new modem. Returned and stayed with my old netgear modem until both stop working. Overall Netgear is great. My old Netgear is over 6 years old. I recommend Netgear.

Good modem/router. Installation was straight forward. I did not know this had a router feature when I bought it, so I had to disable that feature since I was adding a wireless router in addition to the modem. Overall a good buy.

Easy to install! Worked great with CenturyLink fiber modem. Two separate WiFi addresses and speeds as well as a 4 port router. Easy to setup with your home network. WPS actually worked. In fact the only device you need with Centurylink. It has "Guest" Wifi also.

My Century Link Modem malfunctioned and did not want to replace with their device. Replaced the modem with NetGear and worked great once set up. Had to call NetGear Customer service to connect but they had me up and running in minutes.

Been renting a modem from my service provider for 15 years and finally decided to get a new modem one that I could pay for. Since I have a Netgear Router I decided to get a Netgear modem. There was a little bit of a snag getting it hooked up but when I called the Netgear service I got great help and we had it up and running in no time. Now my internet is more dependable, faster and I'm saving money. I would highly recommend that you not rent a modem when you can buy a modem and this modem is a good modem.

My ISP wanted to sell me a new modem for twice the price of this one and I would have had to wait several days for them to ship it to me. This modem was easy to set up and I was back on-line in a matter of minutes.

Good product. We Have had better reception on our phones and no lagging! Took days and hours of talking to techs to get this and the router online and going together. Should be easier than that and easier to pick up internet connection but all is good now

I bought this DSL modem to replace the leased DSL modem from Centurylink. I have the DSL modem connected to a Linksys router and it works well in this type of setup. I will add that the Centurlink DSL modem would very rarely drop the connection to Centurylink. When I first connected this modem it seemed to have issues for a couple of days (would have to reconnect to Centurylink roughly once an hour) but recently it seems to be working better (I can work from home and not loose connectivity for 8 - 10 hrs). I'm not sure if the issue was with the modem or with Centurylink.

It took many visits to Best Buy until someone explain I needed this modem to work with my internet that is set up through the phone line and that other modems are meant for cable internet
