This is a great product for a casual user who has little experience/confidence when it comes to using extra hardware or components with their computer.

We recived this product in the home makeover bundle that best buy online offers. We use a desktop, mini notebook, and a laptop at the same time for the internet with ease. My daughter can watch a movie on netflix, I can play games in facebook, and my husband can be downloading pictures onto the net all at the same time!! We don't even notice what each other is doing.

This router is one of the best they have. Easy setup, secure and safe. Offers port forwarding/filtering. It also has remote access. You can set it up so your children can only surf the net when you want them to. This is the only router i would suggest you spend your money on.

A basic router that's easy to setup and will do what you need it to. Unfortunately devices fail to connect to it's wireless on a regular basis. Several times a week one or more of my computers, iPod, PS3 wont be able to connect and the only way to get it to is to unplug the router and sometimes restart the computer. So this router will get the job done, but it gets annoying to have to unplug it regularly. If you do buy keep it in an easily accessible location.

it's cheap and easy to use, and if you like to browse wireless then you can't lose. I haven't tried any hardcore gaming with it, but I'm sure it's just fine for one or two people in most cases.

I bought two of these. The first one after being on the phone for two hours with tech support it still would not pick up a signal. Took it back to get another one and had the same problem but further into the installation, called tech support again and 30 minutes later I was online. Thank god for tech support. This router works great but not so easy to install.

This is a great wi-fi router for annybody in a house. The bad thing is that I have 3 computers hooked up to the Wi-Fi and now i'm trying to hook up my Wii so I can play online but the connection keeps timeing out. I have to go redo the settings to let it in. Besides that this computer has a wide range of Wi-Fi. My neighbor sometimes hooks up to it.

the only thing that bothers me about this router is the fact that every few times i turn on the computer and try to log onto the internet i find that i have to reset it. i guess it not a huge deal b/c all i have to do is unplug and replug in the router and sign back in. it's just a little irritating but the price makes it ok. everything else is great

Other reviews said that this was easy to set up as long as you followed directions. My husband followed every direction as it said - even timing it perfectly to 2 minutes when it told him to time it. It took him almost 2 hours to get it set up. Once he was finished, it has worked great.

i live in a small one bed apt, and i need a router for gaming, and this one works great. its just wut i needed. its cheap in price and perfect. =]

Previous to this purchase, I had always used Linksys. This router was 20% less expensive and offers the same product. I found the software far less complicated and meets all my needs (average home CPU user). Totally recommend this to everyone...

This was my first wireless router and I'm not disappointed at all. I had an issue with connecting my laptop/encrypting my signal and NETGEAR customer service was outstanding. They went above and beyond. Speed was also important to me, and I definetly am pleased with this aspect, I have had no problems i.e. glitches. Overall I would recommend this.

I am happy with this purchase. It detected my internet connection details and filled in the boxes on the setup screens for me. It had a sliding information window within the setup window that offered explanations in great detail for every step. I have maintained a connection with 100. mbps since I installed it. i have 3 people in my house all with computers, 2 were already wireless-ready notebooks, but i have a dell desktop. so i decided to get a wireless adapter, no complaints, but sometimes it will just disconnect and re-connect on its own, can get kinda annoying, but rarely happens. other than that, great product and i would recommend it to anyone

This is by far the best router I have ever used. It has advanced features for use geeks (like routing tables) but still has a simple and easy to use interface that techphobics can set it up. Not the cheapest router, but well worth the extra money.

It just sits there and does its thing. I can walk around anywhere in my home with my laptop, and zip, zip I'm hooked up. Excellent product.

I wasnt able to use the install CD with this router because i am using the 64 bit version of Vista. I couldnt really tell you why exactly but I got an error telling me this so i had to do the set up manually. This isnt really all that difficult if you have any networking/computer experience but could be very challenging for some people Once I read through the setup manual (a PDF file on the CD) i hooked everything up and was able to find my connection and log on first try. once online i went to the netgear setup website and changed the security settings for the network and was good to go. took about 20 minutes or so from start to finish. As for the router itself, what can i say? it works. My wireless connection is great throughout my house so i really have no complaints at all. The price is good at $40

I have had this router for a year and works perfect it messed up once but was pretty minor and took seconds to fix best router for the money, it is defiantly better than the d-link i had that went bad in a week. but highly recommend.

I purchased this router so that I could use my laptop anywhere I chose in my apartment. I mostly use it for accessing an online class, social networking and watching tv shows online. The router performs perfectly for my needs.

Bought it for the customer....extremely easy to install..not expensive what so ever
