Bought this online without any problems. Set-up was very easy, I am not very computer savvy but was still able to get it hooked up, this despite my wife's trepidation. Great product at a great price and I would recommend this router to anyone.

    Very good router for ps3!

I purchased a Linksys WRT160N to use with my laptop and ps3. The laptop worked great, but had a lot of trouble with my ps3 connecting. I tried a lot of tips from google on how to configure router for ps3, but I kept having problems, sometimes I would connect, a lot of other times I would not. My frustration got the best of me and I returned the Linksys for this netgear. The best move I made. Signal strength is always 85-100% where as the Linksys (when I did get online) was at 57% and the routers were put in the same spot in my house. I have not had ANY problems getting online, plus online gaming works well also. I play Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe online and have NO lagging and flawless frame rates. If you are looking for a inexpensive wireless router for ps3, this one is for you! Also it is half the price of the Linksys.

This router is perfect for home use. I've been using it for about 5-6 months and I haven't had any problems. This is overall great router. The signal doesn't go down, downloads are lightning fast and it's easy to configure at a very cheap price.

This product came highly recommended and I read a lot of the reviews that said how good this unit was. I inserted the instructional CD and followed the instructions. Pretty easy; plug one into one, two into two, etc. Then the fun begins. The program starts scanning all the connections and links and then it chokes. I get a message that a firewall or anti-virus is possibly the problem. I disable the firewall (this a new computer running VIsta) and thought I had the anti-virus turned off but it still would not install. I finally had to call my son who first had me uninstall the anti-virus because there is no obvious way to disable it and then he took me into the manual section. Not being that knowlegeable about network things, I would have been totally lost on my own. He knew just where to go and how to set specific parameters (he has several of these units installed at home and at his church). We finished and it works fine. My wireless connection is superb. I would recommend this unit to a friend but make sure that they either know what they are doing or be ready to call customer support if they don't have someone to help them.

    Economically priced, sound product

All in all, for $45 this has been a pretty good router. As I mentioned, it could have slightly stronger range and signal, I'm in an old house with thick walls and the signal is lower than I would expect with most routers. Quick setup(I configured manually) though there is no 64 bit OS support for the setup wizard CD...

Great deal for the price, I found set up to be pretty easy, took about 15-20 minutes, I have never set one up before. Just be patient & follow on screen (cd) directions, and it all went smooth. (No Tech support support was needed) Iam using with Vista desktop, and vista laptop.. I would recommend.. great deal for $40.00

My sole complaint on this product was that I had some issues setting up security. Its not really an issue here because there are no other potential users within router range, but I did have some problems. Performance wise I have no issues.

When I purchased this device I was warned that the installation software would not run on my mac, and the process may involve a lot of manual configuration which I didn't like the sound of. Indeed when I got home I found the CD containing the 'set up wizard' only offered me a pdf giving instructions on how to install the router (windows user's apparently are able to use the 'set up wizard' to configure their computers). However the process was so easy, I cannot imagine requiring anything other than the instructions provided. All that was needed was to plug in the modem, router and computer in the order given (the instructions came with pictures to ensure the right cables were plugged into the right holes) and then to open a web browser, at which point the router's web interface automatically appeared and I was lead through a small number of simple steps (choosing passwords etc) and in less than five minutes my wireless was working. I haven't had it long enough to test signal reliability but felt I should reassure other mac users that this device is very easy to set up.

My old router died and I didn't need a wireless N router just a wireless G one. My laptop only uses wireless G. Anyways, I found this router to be better and easier to use then my cisco one that stop holding an IP address. It lasted 5 years. Took this NETGEAR router just about 5 minutes to hook up and use. I didn't use the cd that came with it. I just set it up manually.

We purchased this router, originally, for our children's computer. Since then, we have added an additional home computer and a laptop. It works great for all of these and our PSP when we connect. We never have any problems and with cable modem, the speed is great no matter which pc we use.

    Very Reliable, and Energy Star

Install was a pain. The instructions insisted multiple times that i configure the router using the install CD. It just didn't work for me (Win XP, Comcast cable modem). Took a 40 minute call to the call center (who talked about the nice whether they were having in India). Turned out the auto-configure software in the router was what i wanted, and it worked everything out in 2 minutes. Since then i plugged it in, and it's been running perfectly, no problems at all, ever since. I chose an energy star router because i was planning to plug it in and leave it on for a long time. I use the wireless and ethernet cables to PC's, printers and scanners. Looks nice, works great, highly recommended.

Quick and easy to setup. Works great. The only complication was needing to have the cable company reset the cable modem, but that's got nothing to do with the router.

This was the cheapest router they had in the store, I got it because my 11 year old Liksys died and I needed a replacement fast. This is my first wireless router and set up and securing was really easy, and for a cheap model it has unbelievable signal strength. Now I can tear down my 200 meters of CAT-5 all over the house. I would recommend this to anyone just using it for home use.

started out with belkin surf 300 router and it was horrible barely got 5mbps during multiple speed test in same room, so we switched to netgear which was my first choice i should have gone with but i saw the other was 300mpbs and netgear was only 54 but it's great!! i'm not getting 15mpbs consistently throughout my 1200sqft apt. it only took 5min to set up! this is a great buy i now know to stay away from no name routers. its netgear, cisco/linksys from here on out! i only wish i could afford the netgear wireless n 300mpbs :)

The installation was straight-forward, but not as easy as LinkSys. The button on the side that is supposed to turn off the wireless doesn't function - or the instructions for using it are incomplete.

I've had this router for about a month now and I've had absolutely no issues with it. I think if you need a basic router and don't want to spend a lot of money this is a great deal. I have a decent size apartment and I get great range anywhere in my house.
