My old router didnt have a WPS button, which was necessary for setting up my wireless printer, so I purchased this with my rewards points. It is very simple to set up, its secure and comes with its own password, and it doesnt have silly looking antennae coming out of it like my old one (its actually decent looking and can be laid down or stood up). I also have no issues when there are multpile users online at once (not the case with the old one), and I get full signal no matter where I am in my house (which also wasnt the case with my prior router). I have nothing but good things to say about this, not a single complaint! Very happy with this purchase!

This is a really good router for the money. Under $50 bucks. Set up is really easy even if you are a tech novice. Decent range and easily was able to handle streaming HD. Don't expect to have multiple devices connected without some drag on performance though. But if that is what you want, then open up the wallet!

Had a prior WiFi router that had become troublesome - dropping connections, failing wired connections, etc. After some very quick research, I found this unit at an attractive price. It was easy to install and Netgear's Genie app makes controlling a breeze. After a few weeks, it hums along without hiccup. While it doesn't have all the features of some routers, it works well, predictably, and handles everything I have wanted to do online.

Works better than I thought it would for the price. I needed a cheap wireless modem to work with a temporary system while waiting for the local cable provider to hook up a new house and this router has worked well. Strong signal over my entire house, small, etc.

I purchased this as a replacement unit for my parents. Their wifi with their old device has been spotty lately with lost connections and periods of very slow performance. This Netgear was easy to setup and works flawlessly. Their problems are gone and it was easy enough to administer that I was able teach my dad the basics in about 10 minutes.

Why pay cable company monthly for Wi-Fi

This box was so easy to setup. Just plug it in. The security info for the Wi-Fi is on the outside of the box, so no need to have a computer to set it up. Just make sure the cable company has the modem/router set to route through. They had mine set to Wi-Fi, which stops that. There is also a NetGear phone app for configuring things.

We needed Wi-Fi to cover all 3 Floors of our townhouse plus reach outside to our back deck. This unit fulfilled that need. We are a low-tech household with only a Kindle, laptop, and 1 smartphone. I don't know how it would hold up to having more devices. This is a very basic unit, and it performs good enough for us.

I have mixed feelings on this router. This is my first Wi-Fi router because I have always used a desk top with wired Ethernet cable in the past. I had many issues setting this up. I called my cable provider and they told me it was the router, so I called Netgear customer service for help and they got me online in no time. The info that the Netgear rep gave me was not listed in the "super easy" instructions. Some of my techie friends tell me it is not uncommon for routers to require being reset. Once your set up, it's all good. I have had this router for over a month and I have only had to reset twice. If you are a router, Wi-Fi wiz then this is probably a non issue, but if you are a newbie, don't be alarmed if this does not work right out of the box. I recommend calling Netgear if you need assistance and you should be up and running in no time.

Purchased this router because my old router was not allowing me to get the full capacity of my internet service and range in my house. Bought this router and haven't looked back. Now I get to fully use what I pay for internet and I get excellent reception in my house. Perfect for what you need.

This is the second one of these I've purchased, one for my sister, one for my girlfriend. Both were easy to setup and assign a friendly password to login. These units have a good distance capability, much more than expected by their size and weight (very lite). I highly recommend this Netgear Router

My current wireless router had gotten so slow, it took forever for pages to load on mylaptop. This router is super easy to hook up and punch in the password. Now, the pages load lightning fast. It's great.

I like to use this router because it is easy to set up and it is secure and versatile. Also other routers I have tried in the past I have to reset periodically but not this one I set it up 2 years ago and haven't had to touch once.

Doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but gets the job done for the price. Seems to be just as fast as previous ones I used. In store salesman tried to upset me to one twice the price, but I decided it was a waste.

Had to replace an old NetGear router (about 4 years old). This model is incredibly easy to set up--basically take it out of the box, plug it in and enter the password. Have had perfectly reliable service out of it for a few weeks now; hoping it lasts as long as its NetGear predecessor.

After years of setting up routers (and building several of my own) I am pretty happy with these from Netgear. I have set up several of them and even with all the functions, they are very simple to do as long as you follow the instructions. Very simple setup, easy to change settings once it is set up, low price and a full feature set make this a very good buy.
I grabbed this one while on sale just to have a spare in my networking bag. Paired with a couple of Netgear USB adapters and a Netgear range extender, I have a complete mobile network whereever I can find a WiFi signal or a network port.
Can't say enough positive about Netgear's quality and reliability. I've reset it back to factory fresh several times and am very happy with it.

I am an IT admin and worked with many wifi devices and this one was the best in its price range. If you looking for a great router for a cheap price. You can't find a better device. I have a 3000 Sq ft house and I have total coverage.
