Customers value the Wireless-N Router's ease of use, performance, and affordable price. Many appreciate its strong signal and wide range, making setup and daily use convenient. While some experienced connection difficulties or compatibility problems, the positive feedback on ease of use and performance outweighs the negative. The router's compact size is also a frequently cited advantage.

I had Geek Squad install my router and have had no trouble at all. Surprising how much range and speed it has!

Good value, easy to use and have had no performance problems. It has worked well with my computer,my wireless printer and even with my smart phone. Instalation requried me to call tech support however and even they were having problems. I ended up on the phone with them for an entire hour.

I am a very experienced networker and a gamer, so I noticed right away when this stopped working. The first thing I want to point out is that port triggering/ forwarding is incredibly frustrating compared to Linksys models. Next, it is easy to install and manage your network. It has a very friendly GUI when you access network controls. The first thing I noticed, is that wireless-g speeds are set at 52 instead of 54 which is quite odd, but it is still fast. The problem I faced is, it stopped connecting to my cable modem after a short 25 day period, and the last 5 days speeds dropped abysmally. My old Linksys router connects fine to the modem so it wasn't the modem's fault. This seems to be a recurring problem in other reviews. So in all, it is a great router until it stops working.

I bought this unit for my daughter and grandsons. I have installed routers before, I will NOT mention those brand names. This Netgear N300 Wireless router installed itself!!!! - INCLUDING the wireless portion! I can't wait until I need another router! I certainly will buy a Netgear router then! GREAT UNIT!!!

I bought this router to replace a Dlinks and I am so glad I did it. This router is very easy to setup, it took me about 12 minutes to have my Samsung laptop connected to it. I have also connected my PS3 to the router. I have definetely noticed how much faster I can download and upload files now. I recommend this router for anyone looking for simplicity and fast connection.

I purchased this router to replace a 2 year old Linksys that had served us well. I had heard and read good things about Netgear's routers and was particularly interested in the boost this model was supposed to give to the signal as my old router didn't provide a signal for the entire house. It was easy to install and provided better wireless service when it worked. However, within days it started losing communication with the modum two feet away. After having the connection cut out multiple times, it finally just quit after 3 weeks. I replaced it with a CISCO Linksys router two weeks ago and have had no problems. Obviously, it is possible that I just got a bad router (which is why I didn't rate it lower) but after reading through some of the reviews here, it seems my problem is not uncommon.

The Netgear N300 wireless router that I bought a month ago has worked great. I set it up myself. It was so easy. The instructions just walk you right through it. It only took minutes and I was up and running. I did go ahead and scheduled the Geek Squad to come out just to make sure it was running correctly and they did make a little change to the settings just to make it a little more secure. And that was free for them coming to the house so that was great!

Once installed it works very well. The problem was getting my ISP (COMCAST) to recognize the router. Said it was not an "approved" model. The tech folks at COMCAST were extremely unhelpful is assisting me to get it configured. Once they realized that I was not a hapless amateur - after a short chat with their supervisor - things went better.

It may seem intimidating but this should take you no more than 10 minutes to setup. The first router I had was a Netgear and I had it installed by GeekSquad. No offense to them but I probably could have installed it myself if it was as easy as this one.

    Netgear is the best.

I have always used Netgear routers, so I am a little biased. I have worked on D-link, Linksys, 3Com routers and Netgear has always been the easiest to navigate. That could be because I am used to Netgear software also. Moving from B/G only to B/G/N is a big deal and now that I have to equipment to use the N standard it feels good to transition forward. I would recommend this router to anyone that needs to upgrade from a older wireless router.

I purchased this router after fighting with a Dlink and a Belkin for about 2 months. The Best Buy associate promised I wouldn't have any issues with it, he was right! Had the router out of the box and had the 4 pcs in our house set up in less than 10 minutes. Since then, great connectivity, great packet rates, just an all around wonderful router. I strongly suggest giving this one a shot before the new Valet or definitely the newer Belkins.
