I've used Netgear routers in the past and always been pleased with their performance, so when my daughter needed a router for her home I chose Netgear again. While it's "only" Wireless-N, it's more than fast enough for her one-computer, one-smartphone world.Installation was so simple I double-checked to be sure I hadn't missed something! Great value and very reliable -- the latter is very important since her "tech support" (me) lives an hour away.

I don't know much about computers but this was easy to set up and easy to use. It gets the job done and it is not a bulky piece of plastic. I have Charter Cable and it works fine with my cable modem.

I purchased this Wireless Router for a friend/client. I wanted to minimize the cost. The router is on the second floor of my friends house and allows him AND guests to connect from the first floor.

This a great router. I need a basic inexpensive router for my HP laptop. This router gets the job done. The only downfall is I can’t connect to another wireless router.

Was looking for a cheap router since the Cisco was blown away from the cable system not Cisco’s fault! Great price super easy set up... only bought it for moms 700 ft condo but took it outside and yes why go higher? Works great

So far so good. Easy setup and good range. Connected to internet I was 21mB/s... with router I am 14mB/s. Not sure I like the "guest" SSID is broadcasts out but I am sure I can disable that.

This device was a pain to set up, and Netgear's customer service was awful, but once I got it running it seemed to be okay. Occasionally, I will have to reset it. Features seem a bit basic, but I can use either Wi-Fi or Ethernet cables, so I don't really know what more I would want. Range seems decent for my purposes, but I live in a small apartment. Signal is weak if I'm sitting in my car in front of the apartment, so I doubt it would provide a wireless signal throughout a larger home. I've used several devices simultaneously without issue, so it seems capable in that regard. Recommended to people who are single or only need Internet in one or two rooms.

Bought this to create a local network at a summer camp. It worked perfectly to create a secure network so that we could print and file share, as well as running multiple "apple tv's" on screens that were spread throughout the conference center. We did this so that we could bypass the horribly slow hotel network to get work done. All in all it had great range, good value, and was easy to set up.

It does what it's supposed to do. Even a 64 yr. old tech challenged woman can set this up. It can handle 3x the speed of cable. My old one couldn't keep up.

Very easy to hook up--user friendly. The range is good. Overall it works great. This is the second one I purchased. My first is still being used. Needed another one for a second location.

I always used Netgear products for my wireless routing. After having a terrible experience with Belkin and a less than desirable experience with Linksys, I have had no regrets in buying Netgear products. Always easy to install and works great.

Bought this cause my friend's WiFi was not working and would drop connection all the time. When we set it up there was a big difference from the other router he had. And it is also cheap which is really good if you have a small budget.

Router works well but had to take first router back. Easy set-up. Excellent price, works with Macbook Air and iPhones. Also using ethernet ports to connect Dish Hopper and Joey.

Unit is great for a small internal network. Easy to set up. Had more trouble with the service provider - needed to get them to enable the cable modem. After thst no problems.

Installed the wireless router in X minutes using the default SSID (netgear##) and password. The install was at my Father-in-law's home. I twitched on using the NetGear Genie software. The NetGear Genie software was not installed. The wireless connections (Surface Pro 3, Lumia 1540, Lumia 830) were easy. The Gateway Windows 7 computer is direct wired to the 100BaseT port. The Gateway Win7 system didn't work correctly on the first attempt? I forget what happened, but it took an admin login to make it function. Win7 system was configured using www.routerlogin.com from my limited recall (800 miles away right now).

I didn't want to spend a whole lotta money, so I picked up this router for 40 bucks. Works great. No problems. Get Internet everywhere in my house, even the basement.

Have had this for 2 weeks now & so far, I couldn't be happier! Great price, easy set-up & very high-speed, and haven't dropped the signal yet... with 2 smart phones, a tablet, smart tv & wii all using the wi-fi daily.

An improvement over my old router, my internet seems faster and this router works totally fine in my apt since the area it has to cover isn't super large.

You can spend more on a router. They had models up to $300! This is our 2nd router of this series and its easy to install and works well in a smaller home
