This was a pretty good movie. It does fit the stereotypical new kid gets picked on, trains and then kicks butt formula, but the formula works. I liked it alot and would recommend it. the fight scenes are great.

Never Back Down is the best fighting movie I have ever seen. If you like MMA or trying to get in to MMA I would recommend these movie. Great action and great plot. One of the best movie's of 2008. A must see for any action loving peopl

Was a cool movie that had some good morals in it. Also the fights and stuff were pretty cool. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes the fighting and step up type movies.

I would definately recommend this movie to anybody that loves the MMA style fighting like I do. It was good action and a pretty good plot.

This was a really good movie, it kept me interested throughout the entire movie.

This movie is a perfect representative of a new age of B-movies. It's all about ultra popular and extremely overrated MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). The boring plot that was used in dozens of movies before. Unbelievably shallow characters. Even Djimon Hounsou wasn't given enough space to actually act. The only character who was interesting and had potencial was an antagonist, but who's going to give a "bad" guy much time and development, right? I'm going even to get into details of fighting, it was simply unrealistic. Secret tournament to which everybody get a text message? Give me a break and come up with something more convincing. And if you want to watch that kind of movie, rewatch "Bloodsport". At least it had Bolo in it

I don't think I'll ever understand movies like this. I've never seen the point of boxing or fighting except for one man to prove dominance over another. And honestly, nobody cares who's more masculine. You don't have to be at the top of the masculinity food chain to have a good life, and that's the message this movie doesn't send. "Never Back Down" entices a wide female audience with lots of buff shirtless guys beating each other up. "Never Back down" also entices a large male audience with a story of the underdog rising to the top by beating the life out of people. And unfortunately neither draw makes for a good film. The entire point of this movie is that the underdog cannot and will not have a happy, peaceful life until he can beat the resident school bully. This is not the kind of message that needs to be sent to teenagers. While I may have only just left my teenage years, I do not believe that violence is the answer to all our problems and therefore think this movie was a horrible idea from start to finish. I've never wanted to throw the remote at my television set any more than when I watched this film. If you're big on boxing and men being each other up, yes you'll like this movie. And I know there's a big enough audience out there that will appreciate this film. But I honestly don't see the point in anything the main character does in this film, and therefore cannot recommend it to anyone else.
