Paid for Rocketfish but got CTI HDMI CABLE

Third party installer said he needed two 12ft Ricketfish HDMI cable to complete instaltion and charged me $120 fir the cables. The cables he installed were an off brand. CTI Cable, that sells for about $14 each. I felt cheated.

Best Buy does not offer this service! I was offered this service by a Best Buy in store representative, charged for it, and learned on the day that my TV was scheduled to be mounted that it is not a service that Best Buy offers. The tech was already in my home, so he proceeded with mounting the TV (without hiding the cable).
I called Best Buy Tech Support the same day and was told that they do indeed offer this service, but that they must have not requested a licensed electrician. Best Buy customer service scheduled a future appointment to have a licensed electrician come to my home and move our electrical outlet from the bottom of our wall to behind the TV for the following week; however, the technician never came! I contacted Best Buy customer service yet again and was told that they DO NOT offer the "New Electrical Outlet" service although two different Best Buy representatives communicated with me that they did offer it. They also were not sure why the tech didn't cancel or show up for my scheduled appointment (likely because he knew he couldn't preform the service).
As a resolution, they told me that they could send a technician to my home to hide the TV cable behind the wall and I agreed. I told them that I would call back to schedule the appointment after I received my refund for the new electrical outlet charge. I did receive my refund; however, when I called Best Buy to schedule an appointment for a tech to come out to hide the cable, I was told that this is a service that they no longer offer. Like, what?
Now, I have a TV that has been mounted to my wall with the cable hanging down the front. If I had originally known that Best Buy would not hide the cable, I would have paid an outside provider to mount my TV.
I am currently on hold waiting to speak to a supervisor to see if I can possibly receive a refund for the mounting service so I can pay another provider to complete the service. I've been waiting on hold for about 40 minutes now. I am hopeful that this issue will be resolved ASAP.
My advice to others would be to proceed with caution when scheduling Best Buy Tech Support as it seems that in-store representatives and call center representatives do no have an accurate understanding of what services Best Buy does or does not offer & you may be charged for a service that cannot be preformed.

Best Buy will tell you they can send an electrician to your home to install an electrical line, but after over a month of waiting and 4 appointments with the wrong vendors, I can assure you they cannot. DO NOT assume that just because they offer a service for gas line shut off, or electrical work with your total tech membership that they can or will get done, because in my experience it never happened and I ended up having to pay far more for the service to finally get done by an electrician myself.

Contractor was late for 2 different time frames. He then called me and told me he would be at my home late but had one more appt and would be on his way. He never showed up and when I called customer service, they could not tell me why he didn't show up and someone would reach out to me to reschedule. I have gotten no further communication and still do not have my product.

Geek Squad installation made buying this tv so effortless! My husband and I are not “techy” so purchasing a new 65” tv was nerve wracking. When we heard from our neighbors about Best Buy’s Geek Squad services and how satisfied they were when they purchased their tv, we decided to do the same thing. We are extremely pleased with the “stress free” process using the Geek Squad.

They were unable to install an outlet in my fireplace because it's shiplap and they couldn't get to the wires. A simple question or two about this would've changed my order for this ahead of time.

It was never installed, which was ok because we had 3 existing outlets already. However, if they did add an outlet, i would recommend it, because best buy usually used good services

The electric portion of the install was a huge ordeal. Took 6 weeks and 4 different electricians to complete. Alot of time off from work to accommodate and no success. Some rudeness from 1 electrician 2 no call no show. And then finally Scott Wiener made it happen in less than 30 minutes and was extremely friendly.

Electrician failed to show for first appointment.
Showed up for the second appointment not knowing what the job was and without the correct equipment. Said he would return. Failed to return. Can't get a sensible answer out of anyone.

Bestbuy's contractor was supposed to install an electrical outlet. They came looking for some kind of a kit that was never explained to me at the time of paying for the service at the store. The contractor tried to get me to pay extra $$$ if I wanted to get the job done. Bad experience!
