It cools good now. Big test will be during the summer. Love it so far.

First of all, I live in California, a dry climate, so any problems were not due to living in an area of high humidity. Swamp coolers perform poorly in areas with high humidity. Right out of the box, mode/speed two didn't work. I called and asked if this was some kind of default because the padding needed time to become saturated with water. She said yes, and that once it was saturated, mode/speed two would work. It never did, even after 24 hours of use. The air never became cool. Yes, it was on cool mode. Yes, the water pump was working. Yes, the air was blowing out of it (on speeds 1 and 3 -- speed 2 never worked). All it did was blow tepid, humid air, filling up the place with stifling humidity and heat -- the opposite of what I wanted when I purchased a COOLING UNIT. I tried to message them to ask for help -- I was ignored. It is now on the UPS truck, going back for a refund.

I understand that Evap coolers use water to cool the air a few degrees. They do not have the same level of cooling as air conditioners. I felt this unit provided a little cooling if you are in front of it but the ambient temp in the room changed very little. I felt it should do better so while it was running I checked the back to see if water was dripping down the wet / evap pad. Only half the pad was getting wet. Half of the nipples were not dripping. If I tilted the cooler they would start dripping. This tells me the pump is not pumping the volume of water needed for all water nipples wold be dripping water. I confirmed they were not blocked. I will return in the morning...kind of disappointed. Will look into a different product

Extremely disappointed with this product. I didn't realize it required filling it with water. It uses up about half the tank in 1 night, which means I have to constantly refill it. But more importantly, it did not cool my room at all. Temperature only dropped 2 degrees, and even at max setting it just blew out air did not feel any coolness coming out. Returning product this week

This machine leaks water. I have had this for nearly a year and it has started to leak water on the floor. I recommended this to a friend who bought it and his leaks too. The company asks you to purchase shipping to return a shoddy product back and they may or may not replace. I repeat, unless you want to pay for shipping for a product that is faulty after you buy it, DO NOT BUY THIS COOLER.

Don't waste your money. This is nothing more than a glorified fan. Even with ice in the water tank I barely noticed a couple of degrees difference in temperature. Better to invest in a real AC unit.

I've had two of these things, the second one after the company sent me a replacement. The machine leaks water, very dangerous. I've tried to correspond with NewAir and get my money back but they flaked out on me after some back and forth and have even blocked my account on instagram. I unfortunately recommended to my friend one of these things and he had the same problem, and got another replacement and it leaks water as well. This thing is a piece of crap. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. THEIR STUFF SUCKS.

This fan has bad smell, with cooling on, smells even worse.
