It was a great ice maker for the first 3 years. However, it’s a good thing that I had Geek Squad Protection on it for 4 years. I did use this thing on a daily basis though so it was worked hard. The shoveling tray that pushed the ice into the bin was built very flimsy. As a result, it broke on me which cased the ice maker to become unusable. If you’re only going to use it for special occasions then it’s fine but don’t buy this thing if you’re going to use it on a daily basis. If you do, then I strongly recommend that you get the 4 year Geek Squad Protection plan to go with it.

Overall, very pleased with this purchase. It makes a great amt of ice in a short time. It touts a self clean feature. This means you have to measure 1c vinegar and 1 c water to run through unit in self clean mode. You must then run a normal batch of ice through to get rid of the vinegar smell/taste. To me, that doesn't completely seem "self cleaning" bc I still have to go a considerable amount of effort. Like I said though, we are glad we made the purchase bc it does what it's supposed to do: make ice.

Have to give the product a good review, but that was only after having to return the first unit which would not power on. The new unit works great ....fast ice and can keep up with our houses use

this machine is like all the other ones on the market. made in the same factory in China. they work for about a year or two and you replace them.as usual this machine had problems upon arrival but nothing I could not live with for awhile. Was well worth the moneyas it was on sale and I had a 20% cupon.

I highly recommend this unit. Turn it on and within about 15 minutes you have Ice. You can also set a timer to turn the unit on at a preferred time. I have one for home and on unit at our vacation house.

The initial cleaning is easy. After that its simply add water, choose the size of the cube, and let her rip. This will crank out ice like you wouldn't believe.

Excellent product, we use it for holidays and parties to help keep up on ice.

This is not going to make ice immediately. But leaving it alone on a hot summers days for a few hours then coming back to a couple pounds worth of ice constantly makes it worth it.

This bad boy cam in handy when we invited friends over during the playoffs. I'll never have to worry about having enough ice.

Great Ice maker. Make plenty of ice for 3 to 4 cups with no problem. Plus it makes new ice really fast. Great purchase.

Works great. The lid snaps back and should have some kind of stop. But makes great ice, fast and plentiful

Bought this ice maker to take camping. It makes ice in 3 sizes and is fast. Have been happy with my purchase.

I really like this ice maker. You really have to stay on top of the ice as it makes because it melts pretty quick. If you take it out and put it in an ice bag and freeze it will produce a lot of ice but not the 50 lbs it says. Overall I still like the ice maker.

Well so far so good. Hopefully, it last longer than the last Ice maker I purchased. Never heard NewAir before but it had some good reviews. I guess time will tell.
