The item is of very good quality. I haven't had a chance to have it installed professionally but I will do that soon.

THis was the biggest piece of junk on the market, and i KNOW DashCams! Set up was a BEAR! They wont stay Connected to the Phone App, and just Unreliable! And THIS is one of most Expensive Cams on the Market! DONT FALL FOR IT! Go for a Nexar!.....1/3 the Price......3 times the Cam! You wont be sorry!

Not a fan of this dash can. There’s just so many intermittent problems. The connection software to the phone fails often. The dash cam starts up with a blank screen. It’s failed with 2 of my name brand SD cards I’m upset I paid for this cam, and the wiring package, and a professional installation. What a waste of so much money.

The only negative is that the suction cup does not hold very well, they need to provide a larger cup. The camera is great as well as the software use to edit the camera

I purchased this and the rear view camera. The camera regularly freezes and then drains the car’s battery to a level where the car doesn’t start anymore. You can wire the camera to not be powered while the car is not running, but then you loose the feature to monitor if someone hits your while the car is parked. Based on Nextbase’s feedback, the camera operates very close to it’s performance threshold, and once it’s over a certain threshold it freezes without a graceful recovery. My guess is that they don’t use automotive qualified components, and hence temperature changes and vibration quickly push the camera over that threshold. Service was not helpful and continually asks me test changes, risking that I get stranded because the car doesn’t start anymore. The manufacturer Nextbase so far is not willing to replace or refund the cameras.

I like it for the most part but not turn off unless I manually turn it off. It does turn on with turning my truck on. I’m getting the hardwire put in.

The dashcam didn't come with a secondary suction mount as it said it would on the listing page, thus lost half of the use I had with it (road trips on rentals) and can only use it on my own car. I have no use of Alexa as I use another smart assistant, and this is thus just another dashcam albeit an expensive one comparatively. BestBuy customer service was also unhelpful on this matter

Good video quality, clear picture, so far is able to withstand heat.

Have had this camera for a month and had it hardwire installed. 80% of the time it is good to go. The other 20% it is not working properly. The main issues I see is the camera will not focus correctly, so the video, if recording, is just bright white. Other issue I have seen is the camera freezes up. It does not record nor do the onscreen buttons do anything when pressed. When this happens I have to remove the camera and wait for the battery charge to die and then I can power it back up and it is good to go. Mobile app is really buggy, I do not even attempt to use it anymore. I just remove the memory card and download the videos needed onto my computer. Mostly a great camera, but I need reliability in the event something happens while driving and this camera is just too unreliable to count on.
